Student answer (Band 5.5)
Nowadays, some people claim that not enough of the waste form homes is recycled. Some people says that the only way to increase recycling is on governments to make it legal requirement.
Firstly, laws are important for people o recycle more of there waste items and house hold things Like that botles. What i meant by this is that if government make rules about recycling of waste material in under law every one follow rules this is important. laws can make recycling compulsory. For instance in recant research in England those donot recycle the waste material the government can putting planties on these people homes.
Secondly, Government announces rewards and prices on recycling items it make help full for government. By this many people was impressed and do not throw these items. People collect these items and submit to government on the place that selected by the government. They submit there waste items and collect their reward and cash prize. For Example, in Pakistan the the people lives in city Bahawalpur, throw waste items on road the government of Pakistan announced that the person that throw any recycle item we charge fine on them and those people that recycle these items governments gives rewards and cash prizes.
In conclusion, this is important to make rules by the government about recycle items. This is good thing by this action it spreads good environment and clean roads. And by this way government helps to needy people. To increase recycling is important for government to make legal requirements.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt by discussing the role of government laws in recycling. However, the development of ideas is limited. While you mention that laws can make recycling compulsory and suggest rewards, the arguments are somewhat repetitive and lack depth. The example regarding Bahawalpur is relevant but could be better integrated to support the main argument more effectively. To improve, ensure that each paragraph focuses on a distinct, well-explained point that directly answers the 'to what extent' aspect of the question. Currently, the position is clear, but the supporting evidence is thin.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate. For example, phrases like 'What i meant by this is that' are informal and clunky. Transitions between sentences are sometimes abrupt, making the flow feel disjointed. To improve, use a wider variety of linking words (e.g., 'consequently', 'furthermore', 'in contrast') and ensure that pronouns and referencing words clearly point back to the intended subjects to improve the overall logical progression.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is generally basic and repetitive. There are several spelling errors (e.g., 'botles', 'recant', 'planties') and word choice issues (e.g., 'house hold things Like that', 'on the place that selected'). While the meaning is generally conveyed, the range of vocabulary is limited, and there is little evidence of less common lexical items or precise collocations. To reach a higher band, focus on using more academic vocabulary related to environmental issues and government policy, and pay closer attention to spelling and word formation.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede the reader's flow. Issues include subject-verb agreement ('Some people says'), article usage, and sentence structure ('if government make rules... every one follow rules'). There is a lack of complex sentence structures, and the punctuation is inconsistent. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, specifically ensuring that subjects and verbs agree and that clauses are connected correctly. Practising the use of relative clauses and conditional sentences would also help demonstrate a wider range of grammatical control.
