Student answer (Band 5.0)

individuals population claim not enough of the waste from homes is recycled.they say the only way to increase recycling is for goverment to make it legal requirement.

in our society now a days is over population and we cant controlled the population ,so we need to educate them how the proper diposal of garbage and separate the recyling waste .for example of the recycling waste is plastic bottle it help in our environment and the wolrd to save.some of the recycling waste can recycle in diffirent ways like dipper, plastic bowl it help in our people to buy a cheapest thing the they use in their daily life.

however without any help of our goverment we cannot do the recycling waste .we as ordinary people we allow us to have voice to other official of the govern to help us because there so much cause if they dont follow the proper disposal of garbage it can lead to air pollution, water pollution we dont have a knowlege where we gonna throw our garbage so as a youth we need an organization to promote the proper way to segragate garbage especially in the urban areas to help them to clean and of course to respec in our mother nature.

therefore i conclude it is better to proceed the law of recycling of the waste because iit help in our health not only in our health also for children, and old people.proper way to throw the garbage can saves many life and the environment can improved .

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response addresses the prompt by discussing the role of government legislation in recycling. However, the development of ideas is limited. While you mention the need for education and government intervention, the arguments are somewhat repetitive and lack depth. For instance, the link between recycling and the cost of goods is unclear. To improve, ensure each paragraph focuses on a distinct, well-supported argument that directly answers the 'to what extent' aspect of the question. Your position is generally clear, but the supporting evidence is underdeveloped.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is organised into paragraphs, but the logical flow between sentences is often disjointed. Transitions are frequently missing or used incorrectly, such as the abrupt shift in the second paragraph. The use of cohesive devices is limited and sometimes mechanical, which makes the progression of ideas feel repetitive. To reach a higher band, focus on using a wider variety of linking words (e.g., 'consequently', 'furthermore', 'in contrast') to connect your points more fluidly and ensure that each paragraph has a clear topic sentence.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is basic and often repetitive. There are several instances of word-choice errors, such as 'dipper' (likely meaning diapers) and 'cheapest thing the they use'. The range of vocabulary is insufficient to express complex ideas precisely. You rely heavily on simple terms like 'help' and 'things'. To improve, try to incorporate more topic-specific vocabulary related to environmental issues, such as 'sustainability', 'waste management', 'mandatory', and 'environmental degradation', and focus on using these words in their correct collocations.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. Issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'it help in our environment'), missing articles, and awkward sentence structures (e.g., 'we dont have a knowlege where we gonna throw our garbage'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, with many run-on sentences and missing capital letters. The range of structures is limited, consisting mostly of simple sentences. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, subject-verb agreement, and the correct use of articles before attempting more complex grammatical structures.
