Task-2

Our world is suffering from numerous problems and recycling waste is one of them, which is further causing an adverse situation in the society. These days some people think that not enough of the waste from homes is recycled. In order to address this issues government should make it a legal requirement. I strongly, agree that these laws are needed to make people recycle more of their waste because of fear of heavy fines.

There are several reasons to support my view, but the foremost one is that fear of heavy fines. Government have higher authorities and resources. Government can make strict rules and punish the law breakers. To cite an example, the government can impose heavy taxes on the recycling factories, if they do not meet their targets or may suspend their liscenses. consequently, productivity of the recycling work increase. Hence, strict rule play an important rule to shape the society.

Furthermore, the higher authorities can make strict rules for the residents such as imposing the rule of regular managing their home waste and dumps into the recycling centres according to the waste category. If one person change their way, it may not that much effective, instead of government make it mandatory for every individual. For example, Austria ranked first in global recycling list because of their strict waste management practice and a unique system. Therefore, it became necessity to introduce strict rules in the country. So, that residents may think twice to throw waste because of heavy fines.

In conclusion, from my perspective to increase the recycling the government should definitely introduced strict laws. so that recycling companies and residents work together to tackle this issue.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses all parts of the prompt and maintains a clear position throughout. You have provided relevant reasons for your argument, such as the effectiveness of fines and the example of Austria. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the explanation of how recycling factories should be taxed is slightly underdeveloped and could be more clearly linked to the overall goal of increasing household recycling. To reach a higher band, ensure that each supporting point is fully explained with clear logical steps, rather than relying on general statements about government power.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear progression of ideas. You use some cohesive devices such as 'Furthermore', 'Consequently', and 'In conclusion' to link your points. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly inaccurate, such as 'instead of government make it mandatory', which disrupts the flow. Additionally, some sentences are fragmented or lack smooth transitions between ideas. Improving the variety and precision of your linking words will help the essay read more naturally and improve the overall coherence.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

The vocabulary used is generally adequate for the task, allowing you to express your ideas clearly. You attempt to use some topic-specific vocabulary like 'waste management' and 'legal requirement'. However, there are some errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'strict rule play an important rule' (should be 'role') and 'liscenses' (spelling error). The range of vocabulary is somewhat limited, and you rely on repetitive phrasing. To improve, try to incorporate more precise synonyms and collocations related to environmental policy and civic responsibility.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'government have', 'rule play') and sentence construction (e.g., 'it may not that much effective'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, with some missing commas and incorrect capitalization. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they occur frequently enough to prevent a higher score. Focusing on proofreading for basic grammatical accuracy and refining your use of complex sentence structures will be beneficial.
