Student answer (Band 5.0)

Waste from home is recycled by various procedure somehow it's also true that government needs to to make it a legal action. And it also believed that not too much waste is recycled from homes.

In my opinion I believe that laws and regulations are needed to command people recycle more of their waste. By recycling we get various benefits in many countries government make a proper system for recycling procedure proper team's visit every month in housing societies to check and blance . People have not sufficient funds to do such procedure somehow it's not there responsibility to do that.

Laws and regulations are needed to make people recycle or decomposed more of their waste things . Nowadays we used alot of things which are made by plastic it's a big source of people illness many diseases spread by plastic things which is a dangerous sign for over health issues so, it's important to not throw waste on open areas or not burn them the only solution is that recycling and in the whole world many countries adopt that procedure by this not only benefit of health concern and also it's impact on our economy through recycling whole waste we made different things like molding the waste and then reshape it .

At the end I agree that government needs to make laws and regulations for recycling procedure proper management system ask people to follow rules and regulations and aware people about importance of recycling in that era many countries already pay strict attention to that procedure.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response addresses the prompt by expressing a clear position that governments need to introduce laws to mandate recycling. However, the development of ideas is limited and at times repetitive. For instance, the writer states that people lack sufficient funds for recycling procedures, but this point is not clearly explained or linked to the main argument. Furthermore, the discussion on plastic waste and health is introduced but remains somewhat underdeveloped. While all parts of the prompt are touched upon, the reasoning lacks the depth and extension required for a higher band. Therefore, the task achievement aligns best with Band 5.0.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is divided into paragraphs, but the overall organisation is disjointed. There is a lack of effective cohesive devices, and sentences often run together without clear logical links, such as in the transition from discussing housing societies to financial issues. Paragraphing is attempted, but internal cohesion is frequently faulty or mechanical, and referencing (e.g., 'that procedure', 'such procedure') is often unclear. The progression of ideas is difficult to follow at times due to these structural weaknesses, placing the response securely in Band 5.0.

Lexical Resource — Band 4.5

The vocabulary used is basic and repetitive, with frequent reliance on simple terms like 'waste', 'things', and 'procedure'. There are noticeable lexical errors and inappropriate word choices, such as 'check and blance', 'people illness', and 'over health issues' (instead of 'our health issues'). These errors and the limited range of vocabulary occasionally cause difficulty for the reader and prevent the text from reaching a higher band level.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.5

The writing displays a very limited range of grammatical structures, relying heavily on simple sentences and error-prone attempts at complex ones. Punctuation is weak, leading to run-on sentences and comma splices (e.g., 'Nowadays we used alot of things which are made by plastic it's a big source...'). Frequent grammatical errors—including incorrect verb tenses, missing plural markers, and faulty preposition usage—distort meaning and demand effort from the reader. This performance reflects the descriptors for Band 4.5.
