Student answer (Band 5.0)
The concern raise by some people that not all the waste that come from home is recycled. They request the government to take action for grow the recycling is only be possible by legal regulation. According to my thinking, The garbage should be separate while collecting it form the homes by the nature of their making material. And then government should be build the new force for check and balance the house garbage should be handover to waste management team not place it outside of home for the use of others.
To begin with, there should be proper instructions deliver to houses that they should separate the material in different dust bins. As this will help the waste team to manage it properly. When these teams will reach the recycling plant they will be differentiate the material easy and should be able to recycle a every single waste material. For example, The plastic waste material should not contain the any other type of waster like wrappers or broken woods as the plastic first step of recycling is burning it on very high temperature to convert into liquid for shaping it new plastic products.
Besides, Government have huge responsibility of the implementation of recycling. It will only achieve by some making an force to make sure the home waste recycle completely. Firstly they have to do some campaign on the waste recycling by social media platforms. For example, Youtube, Facebook, Instagram and TikTok by creating the content for the public and clearly define the importance of the process. After that if someone not follow rule then should be take the strict action against them.
In conclusion, the separation of waste according to their nature and new force launch by the government will really have huge on this problem that leads to earth pollution if not resolve on earlier bases.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
The response attempts to address the prompt regarding whether laws are needed to increase household recycling. The student expresses a clear stance that laws and enforcement agencies are necessary, suggesting solutions like waste separation at home and government monitoring. However, the development of ideas is limited and often superficial, with some key assertions left underdeveloped. For instance, the discussion on creating a new government force to check household garbage is somewhat unrealistic and lacks depth. Furthermore, there are awkward phrasing and incomplete thoughts, such as 'growth the recycling is only be possible by legal regulation', which obscure parts of the argument. While all parts of the prompt are touched upon, the lack of full elaboration and clarity keeps this response at a Band 5.0 level against official descriptors.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The essay is organized into four distinct paragraphs, attempting an introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion. However, the logical progression is frequently disrupted by awkward transitions and confusing sentence structures. For example, cohesive devices are often inaccurate or mechanically applied, such as starting paragraphs with 'To begin with' and 'Besides', but failing to smoothly connect the underlying concepts. Referencing is also weak, with pronouns like 'they' and 'it' occasionally lacking clear antecedents, which forces the reader to guess the intended meaning. Paragraphing is present, but internal cohesion is faulty throughout, placing this firmly in the Band 5 category.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The student displays a limited vocabulary that is barely adequate for the task. Words and phrases like 'house garbage', 'waste management team', and 'recycling plant' show some topic-appropriate terminology. However, there are numerous word choice and collocation errors, such as 'the concern raise' instead of 'raised', 'for grow the recycling', and 'different dust bins' instead of 'separate bins'. Spelling errors also occur, such as 'differentiate' used as a verb where an adjective or adverb form might be intended, and 'earlier bases'. Because these lexical inaccuracies are noticeable and occasionally cause strain for the reader, a Band 5.0 is appropriate.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The student attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but control over grammar is weak. There are frequent errors in tense usage, subject-verb agreement, and sentence construction. Examples include 'The concern raise by some people', 'only be possible', and 'if someone not follow rule then should be take the strict action against them'. Punctuation is also problematic, with run-on sentences and misplaced periods fragmenting the thoughts. Because these frequent grammatical errors cause difficulty and require the reader to decode the meaning, the performance aligns with Band 5 descriptors.
