Student answer (Band 5.0)

It is argued that some people claim that the waste from homes is recycled is not enough. This essay agrees with the statement and believes that the governments only make it a legal requirement to increase recyling. The essay will first discuss the potential impact along with supporting arguments, followed by a reasoned conclusion.

To begin with, there are numerous reasons why we should claim that not enough of the waste from homes is recycled. Some people are aware about the recycling process and beleives that it's a good thing for our environment. However, in some rural areas or village, people are not have knowledge about the recycling process and they just burned out all the stuffs which are having possibility to make it recycling. For example, In some countries have rules that if they give their waste from homes they get recieve money in some amounts, so educated people and those people who knows about this process they are give support to the government.

Moving ahead, sometimes people are uneducateed and that's why they don't beleieve in the recycling process. Furthermore, in that cases the governments should take strict decision about the waste and make people recycle more of their waste. In addition, governments and the some students are should arrange the camps and put some of the strict laws to follow and if not they get come amounts of charges to make it recycling.

To conclude, I would like to say that, government put some biggest holdings, do advertisements from the famous people and put it on social media for awareness and also should provide free pemphlets to join the camps and knowing about the importance to make people recycle.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

The response addresses the prompt by discussing whether governments should make recycling a legal requirement, maintaining a clear position that laws are necessary. However, the development of ideas is limited and at times repetitive. For instance, the second paragraph mentions that people in rural areas lack knowledge and burn waste, but the support lacks depth and clarity. The introduction also contains phrasing that misinterprets the prompt text ("It is argued that some people claim that the waste from homes is recycled is not enough"). While the writer covers all parts of the task and expresses a distinct viewpoint, the arguments remain somewhat superficial and lack well-extended examples, placing this response at Band 5.0.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The essay is organised into four paragraphs, including an introduction and conclusion, which provides a basic framework. However, the logical progression is frequently disrupted by awkward transitions and confusing sentence structures. Phrases like "Moving ahead, sometimes people are uneducateed" and "To conclude, I would like to say that..." are mechanical and repetitive. Cohesive devices are sometimes used inaccurately or inappropriately, such as "Furthermore, in that cases", leading to a lack of smooth flow between ideas. Paragraphing is attempted, but internal cohesion within paragraphs suffers from repetitive phrasing and unclear referencing, resulting in a Band 5.0 score.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The vocabulary used is relatively basic and repetitive, featuring frequent word-choice and spelling errors that occasionally impede understanding. Examples include "beleives", "educateed", "stuffs", "recievie", and "pemphlets". The writer attempts some less common vocabulary, such as "environment" and "advertisements", but control is weak. There are noticeable lexical inadequacies, such as "come amounts of charges" and "knowing about the importance", which restrict the response to a Band 4.5 or 5.0. Because the vocabulary is minimally adequate for conveying a simple argument, a Band 5.0 is appropriate.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

Grammatically, the essay exhibits a limited range of structures. Simple sentences are frequent, and attempts at more complex structures are consistently marred by significant errors. Examples of faulty grammar include "people are not have knowledge", "they just burned out all the stuffs which are having possibility to make it recycling", and "governments and the some students are should arrange". Punctuation and article usage are also problematic throughout the text. These frequent errors cause difficulty for the reader and demonstrate a lack of control over complex grammatical forms, corresponding to a Band 4.5, rounded to a Band 5.0 under positive marking for occasional successful simple clauses.
