Student answer (Band 5.0)

Well, from my prepception it is paramount to recycle the waste of residental areas because it has several harmful effects on health and enviromnent. In addition to this, recycling mostly includes a garbage of plastic so if it do not recycle then it also cause a various diseases like malaria, typhoid etc.

Recycling the waste not only prevent the environment and land from polution but also it reduces the chance of diseases;furthermore,on daily basis there are a lot use of plastic and other things which need to be recycle if they donot recycle on time it will lead to numerious toxic effect in next generation.

Government needs to take an essential meausres like creating a team which superwise the whole

processes as well as,the whole process does not only mean superwise the dustbin, proper storage of recyle things but also, it includes to superwise that is factories perform their duties well or not? Secondly, the government must take steps about education of recycling because it is outstanding way to encourage folk for recyling the plastics.

Along the government dewellers should also think about this issue because recyling not only preserve the surrounding but also it reduces the cost of product.I further clarify that reducing the cost mean the things which are made from recyle things usually has low cost such as recycle jackets, plastic bags etc therefore everyone afford this.As a result, recyling is also a vital weapon against poverty.

In conclusion,by recycling we can preserve our environment also it reduces the number of diseases;moreover,it also decline the rate proverty.

Therefore, government must need to make laws

to increase the number of recycling.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

The response addresses the task only partially. While the writer attempts to discuss whether laws are needed to enforce recycling, the ideas are limited and under-developed. For instance, the suggestion that the government should 'create a team which superwise the whole processes' is mentioned briefly without sufficient extension or concrete examples. Furthermore, the position is not always clearly sustained throughout the essay, as the connection between recycling and poverty reduction in the fourth paragraph appears somewhat tangential and lacks clear logical support. To reach a higher level, the writer needs to present fully developed ideas with robust explanations and clear examples that directly answer all parts of the prompt in a more focused manner.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

There is some basic organisation with an introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion, but the essay lacks a clear overall progression. Cohesive devices are frequently inadequate, inaccurate, or repetitive, such as the excessive reliance on additive links like 'furthermore' and 'moreover', or mechanical transitions like 'Secondly' and 'Along the government dewellers'. Paragraphing is attempted, but the internal flow within paragraphs is often disrupted by abrupt shifts in ideas, such as moving from waste management to poverty reduction without adequate bridging. To improve, the writer must ensure that ideas follow a logical sequence and that a wider variety of cohesive devices are used more naturally to guide the reader smoothly through the argument.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The vocabulary used is limited and minimally adequate for the task. There is an over-reliance on basic words and frequent spelling errors that occasionally cause difficulty for the reader, such as 'prepception' instead of perception, 'residental' instead of residential, 'enviromnent', 'meausres', 'superwise', and 'proverty'. Word choices and collocations are often awkward, as seen in phrases like 'a garbage of plastic' or 'outstanding way to encourage folk'. Attempts to use less common vocabulary are hindered by inaccuracies in word form and spelling. To achieve a higher score, the student needs to expand their lexical range, pay closer attention to word formation, and ensure accurate spelling of common academic and topical terms.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The writing displays a very limited range of structures, and attempts at complex sentences are frequently faulty. There are persistent errors in grammar throughout the text, including issues with subject-verb agreement ('if it do not recycle'), missing articles ('the government must take steps about education'), incorrect prepositions, and awkward clause structures. Punctuation is also problematic, with numerous run-on sentences and spacing errors around commas and periods (e.g., 'enviromnent. In addition'). These frequent errors can cause some difficulty for the reader. To progress, the writer must work on mastering basic sentence construction, improving punctuation, and ensuring greater accuracy when attempting complex grammatical structures.
