Student answer (Band 5.0)

Few persons think that not just of the garbage from apartments is reproccess .They thought that the one method to rise recover is for state to made it a mendatory rule.I think the rule is more important thing to increase people recycle the waste. In this essay, we will discuss that a mandatory law is important for recycle garbage or not?

Many people believe that we cannot recycle garbage in our homes but many people do this because they love their country e.g the people in lahore are very clean and make their roads, shops clean .They do this because they love their city.Another reason that the people recover their garbage because they hate the bad smell of the trash. This smell made their mood bad and cause of their illness.

Most of the people in our country thought that the most easy and important method to increase people for recycle the rubbish is through the government rule.If goverment made a strict legal notice about this problem , then everyone do this.Another main reason people think that government just add a machine in lahore which pay you money if you enter the plastic bottles in them.People do not lose the chance to make money .That's why they ask government to enter these things in also other cities.

In my opinion, if government add the legal rule for recycling the garbage ,people work more then past beacause they do it always if they don't do this, the state take a legal action against them. The fear of going to jail would realise them that they do this for own thing.e.g In my hometown gujrawala, the government add many workers in roads who clear the rubbish in streets and make the road clean .The state pay them for their work, that's why do this with all their energy.

In conclusion, the rule of the state is more important for people to recycle the garbage in their city.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

The response addresses the task partially, offering a clear personal position that government laws are necessary to increase recycling, but the ideas remain somewhat limited and under-developed. For instance, the writer mentions a recycling machine in Lahore and municipal workers in Gujranwala as examples, but these points lack full elaboration to effectively support the core argument. While the prompt asks for an extent to which laws are needed, the discussion tends to rely on repetitive assertions rather than exploring broader implications or alternative viewpoints in depth. To move towards a higher band, the writer needs to fully develop each supporting argument with more expansive explanations and well-contextualized examples rather than relying on brief anecdotes.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

There is some basic organization present, with an introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion, but the essay lacks a clear overall progression. The movement between ideas feels disjointed at times, and cohesive devices are frequently inadequate, inaccurate, or repetitive. For example, transition phrases are often overused or awkwardly structured, such as starting multiple paragraphs with similar repetitive framing. Referencing can also be unclear, making it difficult to follow the logical links between sentences. To improve cohesion, the writer should employ a wider and more accurate range of linking words and ensure that each paragraph transitions smoothly into the next, establishing a clear and logical path of progression throughout the text.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

The vocabulary used is limited and minimally adequate for the task, containing noticeable errors that can cause some difficulty for the reader. There are frequent issues with word choice, word formation, and spelling, such as 'reproccess' instead of 'reprocessed', 'rise recover' instead of 'increase recovery', and 'mendatory' instead of 'mandatory'. While the writer attempts to use some topic-related vocabulary like 'garbage', 'recycling', and 'government', the restricted range and persistent lexical inaccuracies constrain the effectiveness of the writing. To achieve a higher score, the writer must expand their vocabulary range, pay closer attention to correct word forms and collocations, and minimize spelling mistakes.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

The text displays a very limited range of grammatical structures, relying mostly on simple sentences, while attempts at complex structures are frequently faulty. There are persistent errors in verb forms, tenses, subject-verb agreement, articles, and prepositions within grammatical patterns, such as 'Few persons think that not just of the garbage...', 'goverment made a strict legal notice', and 'if government add the legal rule'. These frequent grammatical errors cause noticeable difficulty and strain for the reader. To lift this criterion to the next level, the writer needs to demonstrate better control over basic sentence patterns, improve the accuracy of verb tenses and agreement, and incorporate error-free complex sentences.
