Student answer (Band 5.0)
Several Individual agrees that the waste in their houses is not enough to be recycled. They said to their government to make legal requirement about recycling. I believe that government should makes law who insisted people to do recycle more of their waste. This is a good thing and also help to enhace the quality of environment.
Many people in the world did not recyled their home waste, which cause many environmental problems like, acid rain, pollution. At this stage, government sould make the rule and law about these thing and no one can ignore it. It also makes able to make camps, that take recyle thing like, paper, plastic, and other similar things like that. For example, in Japan and Germany, their government makes many camps in several local areas that are able to keep recycle things from the person and give some money, if they recyle plastic and glass. That's why their roads and local streets are clean.
Furthermore, it hepls to other people to avail the oppertunity to do jobs and earn some money. This thing also reduce the crime rate in the country. If the government should also apply this rule in our country. Government should start the adds about recycling things and also tell that if the person do not follow the rule they have to pay fine.
In conclusion, I agree that if this law is make in my country. It is possible to reduced the waste of things and also the crime rate. People do recycle their things and this thing also mature the citizens. It also decline the environmental problems.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You give a clear overall view that governments should require recycling, and you offer relevant reasons: reducing environmental harm, creating recycling-related jobs, and potentially lowering crime. The examples of collection points in Japan and Germany also help illustrate your argument. However, the response addresses the question only partly because it does not explain how far laws are needed compared with other ways of encouraging recycling, such as education or convenient collection services. Some claims, particularly that recycling reduces crime and that streets are clean because of recycling camps, are asserted rather than explained. Develop the main reasons with clearer cause-and-effect links and make your position on whether laws are essential more precise throughout.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion. Paragraphs generally group related points, and connectors such as “Furthermore” and “In conclusion” signal movement between sections. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear: the discussion moves from environmental problems to collection camps, then to jobs and crime without fully connecting these ideas. Some linking is mechanical or imprecise, as in “At this stage” and “This thing also reduce the crime rate.” References such as “this thing” do not clearly identify the idea being discussed. Use topic sentences to establish each paragraph’s main point, then explain and support it in a logical sequence with more precise referencing.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “recycled,” “environmental problems,” “pollution,” “legal requirement,” and “pay fine,” so the reader can follow the general subject. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, sometimes making the meaning less clear. Examples include “make camps” for recycling collection points, “avail the opportunity to do jobs,” and “mature the citizens.” There are also noticeable spelling errors, such as “recyle,” “oppertunity,” and “enhace.” Aim to learn common word partnerships for this topic and check spelling carefully. More precise terms such as “recycling facilities,” “employment opportunities,” and “raise public awareness” would help express your ideas naturally.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including a relative clause in “camps, that take recyle thing” and a conditional idea in “if the person do not follow the rule they have to pay fine.” However, grammatical errors are frequent and sometimes make relationships between ideas difficult to follow. For example, “government should makes law” has incorrect verb agreement, while “Many people … did not recyled … which cause” contains errors in tense and agreement. “If this law is make” also uses an incorrect passive form. Sentence boundaries and punctuation need attention, particularly around conditional clauses. Practise accurate subject–verb agreement, past and present forms, and passive constructions before adding more complex structures.
