Student answer (Band 5.0)

Many individuals argued that reproducing waste items from is not enough. Consequently, they demand authorities to make a legel requirment for rising the ways of recycling. Therefore, I strongly agree that laws are crucial for the public to recycle waste items.

First for the most, recycling plays an integral role for our consumption. A substantial range of items costs extremely high, which poeple could not afford easily. Therefore, some residents point of view is that waste items from their houses should be recycle due to shortage of products. For example, paper is the basic need for workplace, and also for students. For this reason, it should be reproduce on a large-scale. Moreover, recycling offers a significant variety of items such as plastic, which is greatly beneficial for the economy.

Other important factor is that legel agreement is written by government for the public to recycle more of their waste. Written boards are hanging on the roads. Furthermore, different dustbins are provided for the public, where recylce items are clearly mentioned. Due to these reasons, people obey the rules and many people found that these possible ways increase the process of recycling and careless individuals did not take it forgranted.

To extent, in my opinion, recyclinglaws are also clearly wriiten on purchasing or renting a property. So, people works on it considerabley. However, it creates difficulties for some people, yet it is highly a practical solution.

In conclusion, although waste products from home is recycled, but it is not enough to tackle this problem. Some people argued that one of the way to increase recycling is for authorities to provide a legel requirement. Additionally, I aslo agree that laws are necessary for irresponsible public to follow the rules and make their nation proud.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You give a clear overall position in the opening—“I strongly agree that laws are crucial”—and return to this view in the conclusion. The response also offers relevant points about recycling paper and plastic, providing bins, and rules encouraging compliance. However, the argument is only partially developed: the paper example explains why recycling is useful, but not why a legal requirement is necessary; the discussion of signs and bins describes practical measures without showing how laws make people use them. The claim that rules appear when purchasing or renting property is also unclear and unsupported. To strengthen the response, explain the link between enforcement and changed behaviour, and develop a counterpoint or qualification before concluding.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has an identifiable introduction, body paragraphs and conclusion, and the reader can generally follow its broad focus on recycling and regulation. However, progression within paragraphs is uneven: the first body paragraph moves from the cost of items to paper and then plastic without clearly connecting these examples to the need for laws. Linking phrases such as “Therefore,” “Moreover,” and “Furthermore” are used repeatedly, sometimes where the relationship between ideas is not clear. The paragraph beginning “To extent” introduces a new point about property agreements but does not explain how it follows from the previous discussion. Use topic sentences that state each paragraph’s main claim, then organise supporting explanation and examples around it.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt some topic-specific and formal vocabulary, including “integral role,” “substantial range,” “practical solution,” and “legal requirement.” However, the range is limited by repeated use of general words such as “items,” “people,” and “recycle,” and several inaccurate or misspelled expressions make meaning less clear. For example, “reproducing waste items” does not express recycling, while “recycle items are clearly mentioned” is an awkward description of labelled bins. Spelling errors such as “legel,” “recylce,” and “wriiten” are also noticeable. Aim for precise collocations and check spelling; vary terms such as “household waste,” “recycling rates,” and “enforcement” where appropriate.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You use some complex sentence attempts, including clauses introduced by “although,” “which,” and “where,” but the range is limited and these structures are often inaccurate. Errors occur in agreement and verb forms: “people works on it” should be “people work on it,” and “waste products from home is recycled” needs a plural subject or a singular noun. Other examples include “should be recycle” and “one of the way,” which require corrected verb and plural forms. Sentence boundaries and punctuation also need attention, particularly in the conclusion’s “although … but” construction. Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then add subordinate clauses and check each sentence for subject–verb agreement and complete grammatical patterns.
