Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 3.5
You state a position—that laws are needed—and refer to household recycling and possible benefits for nature and making new products. However, the response only minimally develops the answer: it does not explain clearly how legal requirements would increase recycling, nor consider whether laws are necessary or whether other approaches could work. Several points, such as “people help to any thing” and “change to natural,” are too unclear to count as developed support. The response also contains only 181 words, below the required 250; 39 words copied from the task prompt were excluded from that count. To strengthen your answer, explain your position with a specific example and develop at least two relevant reasons.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 3.5
There is a basic attempt to organise the response into an opening, two body paragraphs and a conclusion, and phrases such as “On the one hand” and “In my opinion” signal the intended structure. However, the paragraphs do not build a clear line of reasoning: both body paragraphs repeat that governments should require recycling, while the conclusion largely repeats the opening. Connections between ideas are often difficult to follow, and some sentences appear as fragments or loosely joined points. For example, “The fast of governments to make it a legal requirement because…” does not establish a clear relationship between the ideas that follow. Use one main point per paragraph, explain it in sequence, and link each example directly to that point.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.0
Your response uses some relevant topic vocabulary, including “recycled,” “waste,” “legal requirement,” “products” and “nature,” so the general subject is identifiable. However, the range is basic and highly repetitive, especially the repeated use of “recycled” and “waste.” Frequent spelling errors, including “inrease,” “recyling” and “opinion,” and unclear or unsuitable combinations such as “people effort nature go natural” make several ideas difficult to understand. Aim to learn accurate topic phrases and use them in clear contexts—for example, describe household sorting, recycling facilities, or penalties for non-compliance. Greater precision and fewer repetitions would make your meaning easier to follow.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.0
You attempt simple statements and some longer sentence forms, and the opening gives a recognisable opinion. However, sentence structures are very limited and errors frequently make the relationships between ideas unclear. For example, “The fast of governments to make it a legal requirement because waste any products recycled” lacks a complete, well-formed clause, while “On the on hand claim that…” has an incomplete opening structure. There are also problems with articles, agreement, and sentence boundaries, as in “a god decition for governments most valuable.” Practise building accurate subject–verb–object sentences first, then join related ideas with because, so, or although. Check that every sentence has a clear subject and main verb.
