Student answer (Band 5.5)

Few People are claiming that, waste which generally came from the house holds are not fully recycled therefore, government should implement their strict and legal requirement to incline the recycling process with a proper waste management. I believe, government can play a significant role to build legal requirement but having said that, people are the one's who should fell negligence while using undisposable items or good.

On the one hand, government implimentation on waste management can have the advantagious impact on environment. If their will be a strict rules and regulations, people must have to fell compulsion about their use of plastics bags and other disposable materials which can harm surrounding nature and insects. For instance, if paper bags were provided insted of plastic, it will help both human and environment because paper bags can be disposable and in addition, it can be re-use from different aspect as a result both will benifit from alternative ways.

On the other hand, humans must have to understand the use of disposable products which can contributes to environment pollution and increase the amount of waste generated. Majority of people are relies on plastics manufractured products, if they try to control their habbits by using other alternatives which contributes positive impact on nature waste management can be easy for everyone therefor, no one have to wait for government action in terms of waste management.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You present a relevant position: governments can help through legal requirements, but individuals also have responsibility. The two body paragraphs address both sides, and the example of replacing plastic bags with paper bags is relevant. However, the response only partly answers how necessary laws are: it does not clearly explain whether laws are essential, or how effective they would be compared with education, incentives, or accessible recycling services. Several points remain general, such as saying people should change their habits, without explaining how this would increase household recycling. The conclusion also ends unfinished, so your final view is not fully stated. Develop the comparison between legal enforcement and personal action, and support each main claim with a clearer explanation or example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two contrasting body paragraphs and a conclusion. Phrases such as “On the one hand,” “On the other hand,” and “In conclusion” help signal the stages of the argument. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow because several ideas are joined into long sentences, and links between claims are not always clear. For example, the paper-bag example moves from government rules to reuse and then to benefits without explaining the connection fully. The final sentence stops at “it is ours therefore we have to be,” leaving the conclusion incomplete and weakening the overall progression. Use clearer sentence boundaries and make each paragraph develop one main point in a logical sequence.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt topic-related vocabulary, including “waste management,” “legal requirement,” “disposable materials,” and “environment pollution,” so the reader can identify the subject and your main ideas. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, which sometimes makes meaning less clear. Examples include “incline the recycling process,” “fell negligence,” and “advantagious impact”; these do not express the intended ideas naturally. Spelling errors such as “implimentation,” “insted,” and “benifit” also reduce accuracy. Aim to learn common environmental collocations and check word forms and spelling. More precise phrases such as “increase recycling rates” and “reduce reliance on single-use plastics” would make your argument clearer and more natural.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt some complex sentences, including conditional structures such as “If their will be a strict rules and regulations,” and you use clauses to explain causes and results. However, these attempts are often faulty, and errors occur frequently enough to make parts of the response difficult to read. For example, “people must have to fell compulsion” has problems with modal construction and verb form, while “Majority of people are relies” has subject–verb agreement errors. The final sentence is incomplete, and punctuation is inconsistent, particularly where several clauses are joined with commas. Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then add subordinate clauses. Check agreement, articles, verb forms and sentence boundaries during proofreading.
