Student answer (Band 4.5)
Some people think that not enough of waste from home is recyled and only way to inctrease recycling is for government to make it a legal requirement Nowadays , houshold made a big issue not recycled wast in many countries. some people think that the gorenment should make the responce to recycled the large want .
The law is neccery I agree in this statemnt that reduce the pollution and encorege people to improved the enviornment. Firstly, The government increase the recycled some time people through the plastic bottle, bags and paper into the road with there of effarts of enviornment.
If the government introduce the stricd law then people is more ceraful about the wast. For exemple when a family puts the wast into the recycled bin. Then the wrold over the cities and country is cleaned and no pollution enviornment . and recyxled is the nature resource and energy.
Secondly mattriel is supply lchas paper, plastic and glassis recycled bin and resorced rthen reduce the houshold wast, Then the over envorinment is clean and envormen is freesh. The govrment intorduce th elaw about the recycled wast and followed it strickedly, then people no put the wast into the roads.
I think that the law is introduced then thefollowed the law people stirckedly and if peopl ecould not followed thi srole then they pnisment the people then more then more people following this law and over cities and couyntry is clean and over envoirnment is cleaned I think over govrment take responce in this law.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
You take a position in favour of legal requirements, stating, “The law is necessary” and later arguing that penalties could encourage compliance. This addresses the central question, and your references to household waste, recycling bins and pollution are relevant. However, the reasons are not explained clearly enough to show how laws would increase recycling in practice. For example, the point about bottles, bags and paper being put “into the road” is difficult to interpret, and the discussion of punishment is repeated rather than supported with a specific example or explanation. The response therefore deals with the task only minimally in places. Develop two clear reasons, explain the link between each reason and recycling, and include a relevant example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
There is an attempt to organise the response into an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion. Sequencing words such as “Firstly” and “Secondly” also signal that you are presenting separate points. However, the progression within paragraphs is often difficult to follow: ideas about laws, bins, clean cities and natural resources are placed together without clear connections. The final paragraph repeats the claim that people should follow the law, rather than bringing the argument to a clear conclusion. Some linking expressions, including repeated uses of “then,” do not clarify how one idea leads to another. Use one main point per paragraph, connect each explanation directly to that point, and make the conclusion briefly restate your position.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.0
Your vocabulary includes relevant topic words such as “recycling,” “pollution,” “plastic,” “paper” and “government,” so the subject is recognisable. However, the range is basic and repetitive, and frequent spelling errors make several phrases difficult to understand, including “recyled,” “houshold,” “enviornment” and “strickedly.” Some word combinations are also unclear, such as “the large want” and “the over environment is clean.” These problems strain the reader and limit the precision of your argument. Build a small set of accurate topic phrases and check spelling and word forms carefully. For example, use “household waste,” “recycling bins” and “enforce the law” consistently and in meaningful sentences.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt to express cause and effect and to use conditional structures, as in “If the government introduce the stricd law then people is more ceraful.” This shows an effort to connect ideas, but sentence structures are very limited and errors occur frequently, sometimes obscuring meaning. Examples include missing or incorrect articles and subjects in “only way to increase recycling,” agreement errors in “people is,” and incomplete or run-on constructions such as “Then the world over the cities and country is cleaned.” Punctuation and sentence boundaries are also inconsistent. Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then combine them with “because,” “if” and “as a result.” Check subject–verb agreement and make sure every sentence has a clear subject and verb.
