Student answer (Band 5.0)

Laws are neccesary to some extant, but awareness is also important. Recycling is a most important for our environment and positive area who look beautiful to see. there are a consider dibete on the issue recycling cruicial or not.

Fraction of people beleive that we should recycling our waste from homes owing to good environment and fall in pollution. people should recycle thei waste to through on the dirty area its effect on the environment and society. some children have no manners they through garbage on the road and anywhere else. their are some dustbin but they ignore that but its, not their fault. government set no rules for the country. some animals die just the reasons of waste garbages.

On the other hand, government should raise the awareness through social media and advertisement. people should knoe abhout the benifits of recycling. so, they want to recycling. govenment should provide bins seperate for plastic and wrappers, cansamd so on in every city. In my area, there are a seperate bins and the whole area look clean and hygenic. teachers and parents should raise awareness in students mind and teach them practical activities. government should fine the peoples if they can no recycling.by doing this, every people can fell positive and hygenic. not only this, animals are also safe by doing this changes in our society.

different people have different notion regarding the statement yet i have sound reasons to advocate that laws are important and education and public awareness is also neccesary.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You give a relevant, balanced position: laws are needed to some extent, while awareness and education also matter. The response includes several pertinent points, such as fines, separate bins, public information, and protecting animals, and the example of bins in your area helps make the discussion more concrete. However, the argument is only partly developed. The opening claim that laws are necessary is not explained until later, and the point that children’s littering is “not their fault” because there are no rules is unclear. Explain more directly how legal requirements would change household behaviour, and support each main reason with a clearer example or explanation. A more consistent, fully explained position would strengthen the response.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

The response has an identifiable structure, with an opening, a paragraph about waste-related problems, a paragraph on awareness and practical measures, and a concluding opinion. Connectors such as “On the other hand” and “not only this” show an attempt to guide the reader. However, the progression between ideas is often difficult to follow: the discussion moves from children littering to government rules and animal deaths without clearly showing how each point supports the argument about laws. Some links are also mechanical or unclear, and the conclusion repeats the position rather than drawing the reasons together. Organise the body around two clear points—legal enforcement and education/infrastructure—and use explicit links to show how each supports your view.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “recycling,” “awareness,” “pollution,” “separate bins,” and “fine,” so the reader can identify the general subject and your main position. However, the range is limited and several inaccurate or repetitive expressions make meaning harder to understand. Phrases such as “positive area who look beautiful to see,” “a consider dibete,” and “through on the dirty area” are unclear or unsuitable for this context. Spelling errors, including “neccesary,” “beleive,” and “hygenic,” also reduce accuracy. Build a bank of topic-specific collocations and check spelling; for example, describe reducing pollution, disposing of waste properly, and imposing fines for non-compliance.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You use some simple sentences and attempt longer structures, including “people should recycle their waste…” and “teachers and parents should raise awareness… and teach them practical activities.” However, the range is limited, and errors occur frequently enough to make several sentences difficult to interpret. Examples include “people should we recycling,” “there are a seperate bins,” and “government should fine the peoples if they can no recycling.” These show problems with verb forms, articles, agreement, and sentence construction. Punctuation and capitalisation are also inconsistent, particularly at sentence beginnings. Practise building accurate basic clauses first, then combine them with clear connectors such as “because” and “although.” Proofread each sentence for a subject, a correctly formed verb, and a complete meaning.
