Student answer (Band 5.0)
Some people believe that not enough of the waste from homes is recycled. Thet say the only way to increase recycling is for the goverment to make it a legal requirement.
Yes I agree If recycling is to be done to make a positive impact the on the enviroment and reach 100% to near 100% recycling of many recycable products and wastes. We need somes laws to promote recycling in the country. For example in school it be made complusary to teach students about recycling. It's benefits to the enviroment and economy. Policies should be made for companies to recycle thier products for example metals, rubber, paper and card boards. So the import bill comes down of these items.
The goverment should make faclites to recycle sewage water to be used in farming and replenishing rivers which have dried up. So animals, famers nd wild life can benefits from this recycled water. The rubber bags used commanly can also be recycled to gater capes made from these rubber bags. Fiber matreal cn also be made from waste to make benchs and hut. If the makes faculites to recycle them.Serives that gather the recycable items from homes
In Conculsion, Laws are needed to some extent to promote recycling at homes. However you can't force people at there homes to recycle them to 100 % by law. You can make laws to promote recycling and faculite it. Through law mak

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You take a position that laws are needed “to some extent” and give relevant examples, including school education, company recycling policies, and facilities for sewage water and household materials. However, the response only partially develops the question of whether laws are necessary: it does not clearly explain how legal requirements would change household behaviour, and the conclusion that people cannot be forced to recycle fully is not reconciled with your earlier agreement. The examples are mostly listed rather than explained, so their connection to the argument is sometimes unclear. The response is also below the required 250 words: it contains 219 words, and the 18 words copied from the task prompt are excluded from the count. Develop fewer examples in more detail and state your position consistently.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
There is a basic overall structure, with an introduction, supporting paragraphs and a conclusion, and phrases such as “For example” and “In Conclusion” signal the direction of the response. However, progression within the body paragraphs is difficult to follow because several different proposals are placed together without explaining their relationship. The final body paragraph ends abruptly at “Services that gather the recyclable items from homes,” leaving the idea incomplete, and “Through law mak” is also unfinished. Some links between sentences are unclear, while the conclusion repeats the position without summarising the main reasoning. Organise each paragraph around one main point, use clear links to show cause and effect, and ensure every sentence and the conclusion are complete.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You attempt topic-related vocabulary, including “recycling,” “legal requirement,” “replenishing rivers,” and “recyclable items,” which helps communicate the subject. However, the range is limited and several spelling errors or imprecise expressions make parts of the response difficult to understand, such as “faclites,” “complusary,” and “gater capes.” Some word combinations are also unclear, including “reach 100% to near 100% recycling” and “the import bill comes down of these items.” Aim for accurate spelling and more natural collocations, and choose precise terms for the materials and services you mean. This would make your ideas easier to follow and give you more flexibility when discussing environmental policy.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You use some simple sentences and attempt longer structures, for example, “The government should make facilities to recycle sewage water to be used in farming.” However, the range is limited, and errors in sentence construction, verb forms, agreement and punctuation occur frequently enough to make some ideas hard to follow. Examples include “in school it be made compulsory,” “So animals, farmers and wildlife can benefits,” and the incomplete construction “If the makes facilities to recycle them.” The opening of the second paragraph also lacks clear sentence boundaries. Practise building complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, and check agreement and punctuation. Using a few accurate complex sentences would improve control without making the writing harder to understand.
