Student answer (Band 5.5)

It is necessary to claim that not enough of the waste from homes is recycled. There has a only way to increase recycling is for government to make it a legal requirement. I strongly agree that laws are needed to make people recycle more of their waste.

First and foremost, in growing population it is necesary to recycle waste because there are many people who suffering health issue due to pollution of waste. For example, there are so much waste come from individual homes like, wet garbage, dry garbage, plastics, and other misalenous waste, for that government should provide different dustbin for different garbage therefore they can clearly recycled appropriate wastage. Moreover, if people who do not follow the rule they should pay fine, this way people will start obey the rule and reduce the society wastage.

Secondly, recycling wastage is helpful for society to become clean and hygene. Furthermore, government play vital role to deceared the wastage through legal action. For instance, if people collect plastic waste then government will give them short amount of reward, hence it way people get motivation to decline throwing the wastage at anywhere. In addition, government should organised a yearly camp for waste, also they should provide short videos about how cleaness is important. There are few individual who are uneducated so they do not understand about certain kind of waste for that short clip make easier to recognize the garbage and up it separate for recycled.

In conclusion, I strongly belived that with the help of law people will start collection their waste for recycle, not only beneficial for human being but also there are many animal who eat plastic waste it can damage their intestine. Although, wastage pollution can decreased with help of government rules and it creat our society dust free.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

Your position is clear: you strongly agree that laws are needed, and you address the question by discussing fines, government-provided bins and incentives. The examples about separating household waste and penalising people who ignore rules are relevant. You also mention education and the harm plastic can cause to animals, which broadens the response. However, some points are less fully developed than others: for example, the claim that waste causes health problems is not explained, and the reward proposal is introduced without showing how it would work alongside legal requirements. To strengthen the response, explain more directly why laws are necessary and support each main reason with a specific, clearly connected example. The response meets the task’s length requirement; 22 words copied from the prompt were not counted.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion. Sequencing phrases such as “First and foremost,” “Secondly” and “In conclusion” help signal the stages of your argument. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow because several ideas are added without clear links. In the second body paragraph, cleanliness, legal action, rewards, awareness camps and educational videos appear in quick succession, so the central point becomes less focused. Some connections are also unclear, as in “hence it way people get motivation.” Group related ideas together and explain how each example supports the paragraph’s main claim. Use linking expressions selectively and make references such as “this way” explicit.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “legal requirement,” “pollution,” “recycle,” “fine” and “motivation,” and you attempt to express several related ideas. However, the range is limited and some word choices or forms make the meaning less natural or occasionally difficult to understand. Examples include “society wastage,” “short amount of reward,” “decline throwing the wastage” and “dust free.” There are also noticeable spelling errors, such as “misalenous,” “hygene” and “cleaness.” These issues fit a response where vocabulary is sufficient to communicate the basic argument but control is inconsistent. Build a bank of accurate topic collocations, such as “household waste,” “separate waste for recycling” and “reduce the amount of waste sent to landfill,” and check spelling carefully.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including conditional structures such as “if people who do not follow the rule they should pay fine” and a concluding clause about plastic harming animals. However, complex sentences are often not controlled, and errors in sentence structure, articles, agreement and verb forms can make the reader work to understand your meaning. For example, “There has a only way” does not form a correct sentence, while “government play vital role” and “people who suffering health issue” have problems with agreement and verb construction. Some sentences also join ideas without a clear grammatical relationship. Practise building accurate basic clauses first, then combine them using “because,” “if” and “which.” Check articles, subject–verb agreement and verb forms during proofreading.
