Student answer (Band 4.5)

In recent time a few people claim that not all of garbage from houses is reuse. They argue that the only way to rise the reuse of garbage is possible if governments declared it a necessary law for everyone.

A few majority of people believe that garbage from houses not fully reused to make new things and they told that the only path to follow in order to increase the recycling for garbage are that the goverments should pass a law to utilize garbage necessary for everyone in states. For instance; ( making flower pot from the plastic bottles and drums then colour it with some decoration to look beautiful and by having tyre of cars into the hang swings tide with ropes.) Governments can help them by provide the instructions or way of applying materfials which is safe for everyone or which can be harmful for everyone. The head members of governments need to pass the law and order to appliy for every person in country.

From my prospective it is a very benefical for our country environment and people if the the governments make it legeal law to follow on by people of country and to make nature beautiful by utilize the waste into recycled things and products.l

In this way creative ability of people increase and make them mentaly strong. For instance; (in my home i hang flowers in plastic bottles by fillng mud into it and use old plastic bags as a water giving source to plants.)

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

You express a clear general view that governments should make recycling a legal requirement, and you give relevant examples of reusing plastic bottles, tyres and bags. However, the response only minimally addresses the central question of how necessary laws are: it does not explain why legal compulsion is preferable to alternatives such as education, convenient collection services or incentives, nor does it consider any limitations of laws. Several points focus on creative reuse and environmental benefits rather than developing the argument about whether laws are needed. The examples are personal and relevant, but they are not connected to a sufficiently developed explanation of how legislation would increase household recycling. To strengthen the response, state the extent of your agreement precisely and support it with reasons that directly evaluate the role of laws.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

The response has a basic sequence: it introduces the claim, gives examples of reuse, states a personal view and ends with a household example. This gives the reader some sense of direction. However, the organisation is difficult to follow because the first two paragraphs repeat the same claim, and the main argument is not developed in a clear progression. The long example in parentheses interrupts the discussion, while phrases such as “In this way” do not clearly show how the preceding point supports the need for a law. Paragraphing is present, but the ideas within paragraphs are not consistently grouped around one purpose. Use a concise introduction, separate reasons into focused paragraphs, and make each linking phrase show the relationship between the claim and its evidence.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “recycling,” “plastic bottles,” “tyre,” “environment” and “products,” and the reader can generally identify the subject. However, the range is basic and repetitive, with “garbage” and “reuse” used repeatedly where more precise terms would help. Several word choices or forms are inaccurate, such as “rise the reuse,” “a few majority,” “materfials” and “benefical,” and these sometimes make the intended meaning harder to follow. Some expressions are also unnatural, including “water giving source” and “make nature beautiful.” Build a more precise set of terms for household waste and policy, and check spelling and collocations. For example, distinguish between recycling materials and reusing objects, and use language such as “household waste,” “recycling rates” and “legal obligation.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

The response attempts both simple statements and longer sentences, for example, “Governments can help them by provide the instructions…” and the sentence describing how bottles and tyres can be reused. However, the longer structures are often difficult to control, and errors frequently affect clarity. Examples include “not all of garbage from houses is reuse,” “they told that,” and “the only path … are that the governments should pass a law,” where verb forms, agreement and sentence construction are faulty. Articles and repeated words are also problematic, as in “the the governments.” Punctuation around the parenthetical examples is confusing, and the final sentence ends with an unnecessary mark. Practise accurate basic clauses first, then connect them with controlled subordinate clauses; check subject–verb agreement, verb forms and articles when editing.
