Student answer (Band 5.0)
Not enough of the waste from homes is recycled claimed by some people. They say that the only way to increase recycling is for governmnents to make it a legal requirement. I believe that laws are needed to make people recycle more of their waste. Today, i will discuss on this topic in below paragraph.
At first glance, government should needed to make laws for people to increasing the recycling more of their waste. Consequently, people have to recycle of their waste. Instead of throw here and there. That's impact good on their environment and on their people health. Moreover, people not have to be going the hospitals more. For example, people should clean their waste, that's makes their environment fresh and clean and their people stay disease free.
On the other hand, people should also want to clean their waste, instead of save their waste in their houses. Because, human disease is started from their home. If they does not throw or clean their waste, they may effects from harmful diseases. For example, most of people keep garbage at home, they may gives birth to mosquitos and individual may cause to dengue or malaria.
In conclusion,I believe that making rules or laws is a effective way to increase household recycling but this is not enough. Individuals also want to be responsible for this. If they not recycle thier garbage, they may causes to their environment and them. Governments should want to give better education or facilities to people that they understand and easy to recycle.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
Your position is clear: you believe laws are needed, while your conclusion adds that education and facilities are also important. You give relevant examples involving household rubbish, mosquitoes, dengue and malaria. However, the discussion only partly answers whether laws are needed: the first body paragraph asserts that rules will make people recycle but does not explain how enforcement would work or why voluntary measures are insufficient. The second paragraph focuses mainly on keeping homes clean and preventing disease, rather than recycling specifically. The response is also 225 words, 25 words below the 250-word minimum; 31 words copied from the task prompt were not counted. Develop the legal argument with a specific example and explain how education or facilities could complement laws.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion. Connectors such as “Moreover,” “On the other hand” and “In conclusion” show an attempt to guide the reader. However, progression is limited: the first body paragraph moves from laws to health without clearly explaining the link, and “On the other hand” introduces a related point rather than a genuine contrast. Repeated references to cleaning or throwing away waste also make the argument feel circular. Some connections between sentences are unclear, as in “That's impact good on their environment and on their people health.” Organise each paragraph around one distinct claim, then explain and illustrate it; use linking phrases only when their logical relationship is accurate.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “recycling,” “legal requirement,” “garbage,” “environment” and “disease,” so the reader can identify the subject. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, sometimes making meaning difficult to follow. For example, “people should clean their waste” does not clearly express sorting or recycling it, while “give birth to mosquitos” is not a natural way to describe rubbish attracting mosquitoes. There are also spelling errors such as “governmnents” and “thier.” Build a more precise set of terms for household recycling, such as “separate waste,” “recycling facilities” and “enforce regulations,” and check spelling and collocations during revision.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple sentences and longer structures, including a conditional idea in “If they does not throw or clean their waste,” and you use examples to extend points. However, the range is limited, and attempts at more complex sentences are often faulty. Errors in verb forms and agreement occur frequently: “government should needed,” “people not have to be going,” and “If they does not” need different constructions. Articles, plurals and sentence boundaries are also inconsistent, as in “a effective way” and “In conclusion,I believe.” These errors can make relationships between ideas difficult to understand. Practise accurate basic clauses first, then build controlled sentences with “because,” “if” and “although,” checking subject–verb agreement and punctuation.
