Student answer (Band 5.5)

A group of people opine that the waste from household activities is not recycled in good amount. They also force that the governmentt should make some legal policies to make sure the recycling of domestic garbage properly. I agree with this suggestion. In this assay I will discuss the positive effects of this above mentionesdopinion.

No doubt in hour houses, we use different equipments to manage our house chores. For preparing food we need different types of items, as well for serving, cleanliness, and many other house hold tasks we use usually some disposable equipments. The use of such utensils and tools which we cannot use them again, is the main reason of generating a high amount of waste. We all of us know very well, unfortunately the proper segration and management of this waste is not being handled efficiently. In the result, day by day the increasing quantity of this waste is becoming alarming. Not only the wildlife but also our ecosystem is destroying due to this pollution. We are also facing many health issues due to this problem.

I am also with the group of thos people who say that the government should play a crucial role in the recyling process. There are some rules and policies should be made to minimize the domestic waste. The authorities should develop the teams for cleanliness. The Govt. also set some rules of cleanliness for puplic, and alleg the societies who do not follow the recycle rules and regulations.

According to my point of view, it is not only the duty of state, but also the puplic is responsible for it. We should use the recycle utensils instead of disposable like "ceramic" in our family gatherings.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You take a clear position in favour of government rules, and you also acknowledge that individuals share responsibility. The response gives relevant reasons, including the growth of household waste and possible harm to wildlife, ecosystems and health. However, the task asks how far laws are needed, and this is only partly explored: you do not explain clearly how legal requirements would make households recycle more, or whether laws alone would be sufficient. The suggestions about cleanliness teams and penalties are relevant but remain general and are not supported with a specific example. Develop the argument by explaining how a rule could work in practice and what complementary measures, such as convenient collection or public education, would achieve.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, a paragraph describing the waste problem, a paragraph on government action, and a concluding point about public responsibility. This gives the reader a basic route through your ideas. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear, and several points are listed rather than connected through explanation. For example, the discussion moves from disposable household items to waste management and then to environmental and health effects without showing each link in detail. Phrases such as “In the result” and “According to my point of view” are awkward or repetitive, while the final paragraph is too brief to fully conclude the argument. Use clearer links between cause, consequence and proposed solution, and develop the conclusion.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt topic-related vocabulary, including “domestic waste,” “recycling process,” “ecosystem” and “regulations,” so the reader can generally identify the subject and your main points. However, the range is limited and several inaccurate word choices, collocations and spelling errors make the writing less natural and sometimes slow understanding. Examples include “in good amount,” “force that,” “equipments,” “segration” and “alleg the societies.” Some expressions are also imprecise, such as “disposable equipments” for household items that are thrown away. Build a more accurate set of phrases for waste sorting, collection and enforcement, and check spelling and word forms carefully. More precise vocabulary would help you explain your proposals without relying on repeated general terms such as “waste” and “rules.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You use both short statements and attempts at longer sentences, including “Not only the wildlife but also our ecosystem is destroying due to this pollution.” This shows an effort to vary sentence structure, but complex constructions are often faulty, and errors occur frequently enough to make some sentences difficult to follow. For example, “There are some rules and policies should be made” combines structures incorrectly; “The Govt. also set some rules” has an incorrect verb form; and “which we cannot use them again” uses an unnecessary pronoun. There are also problems with articles, agreement and sentence boundaries. Practise building accurate clauses with one clear subject and verb, then combine them using conjunctions. Proofreading for verb forms and agreement will improve clarity.
