Student answer (Band 6.0)
The individuals in world wide are getting conscious about the increased pollution and irreversible damage and they assume that considerable amount of waste is not being recycled which will keep adding in more environmental damage, Therefore they predict that only possible way to control this situation is that government take part in it and make new polices and laws. I strongly agree with the statement because a extent of damage is very worse and we need some new laws policies and departments of government who can regulate and monitor the possible solutions.
The land pollution is increasing day by day which is leading to destruction of healthy and fertile lands. The most of the household garbage is dumped into the lands which built up in tons each month without any proper disposal method. The land pollution damages the wildlife living in nearby areas because they start ingesting the toxic substances even get injured by glass or any other sharp objects Moreover it can increase the outbreak of infectious diseases. All these problems are just tip of ice berg which is encountered by land pollution.
The government should take part to monitor this situation and set new policy about to separate the house hold waste, Moreover, they should make the categories of household waste . For example: reusable plastic , waste foods and glasses or other waste should be categorized and then dump and recycle them accordingly. This will place a additional pressure on the population but in a long run it will make a meaningful progress.
In many countries nowadays, the step up is established to recycle the plastic bottle and people get few pennies in return which encourage them. Moreover In Pakistan and many other countries has banned plastic shopping begs which pill up and create damage to earth and take years decompose, The shopkeepers are not allowed to use plastic begs and straws which seems to be A Drop in Ocean but make big differences.
In conclusion , new policies and laws should be added to save earth for next generation these changes will make big impacts in future.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
Your position is clear from the introduction: you strongly agree that government laws are needed, and the conclusion returns to this view. You address the question with relevant points about separating household waste, monitoring disposal, and restricting plastic bags and straws. The examples of bottle-return payments and Pakistan’s plastic restrictions help make the argument concrete. However, some ideas are more fully addressed than others: the discussion of land pollution and harm to wildlife explains why recycling matters, but does not always show specifically how a legal requirement would increase household recycling. Develop the link between each problem and the proposed law, and explain how rules would be enforced or what outcomes they could achieve.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a recognisable structure, moving from your position to environmental effects, proposed government action, examples, and a conclusion. Paragraphing generally helps the reader follow this progression, and phrases such as “For example” signal supporting detail. This gives the essay a coherent overall arrangement. At times, however, connections between ideas are abrupt or repetitive. “Moreover” is used several times, while the shift from land pollution to waste-sorting rules could be made more explicit. Some references, such as “this situation” and “these changes,” are broad, so the reader must infer exactly what they refer to. Use a wider range of linking relationships and make each paragraph’s central point and its connection to the argument clearer.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
You use an adequate range of topic vocabulary, including “irreversible damage,” “fertile lands,” “toxic substances,” “reusable plastic,” and “infectious diseases.” These choices help communicate the environmental focus, and the examples show an attempt to use more specific language. Some word choices and collocations are inaccurate or imprecise, however, such as “built up in tons,” “step up is established,” and “pill up.” Spelling errors including “polices,” “begs,” and “house hold” also reduce accuracy. These issues do not prevent the reader from understanding your main points, but more natural phrasing would make the argument clearer and more convincing. Check collocations and spelling, especially in key examples.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a relative clause in “which is leading to destruction” and a conditional idea in “In a long run it will make a meaningful progress.” However, complex sentences are often not controlled accurately, and errors in sentence boundaries, agreement, articles, and verb forms recur. For example, the opening sentence joins several complete ideas with commas, and “the government take part” lacks the appropriate verb form. There are also problems in “In Pakistan and many other countries has banned,” where the subject and verb do not agree. These errors sometimes make relationships between ideas harder to follow. Practise building shorter, accurate sentences first, then combine them with correctly formed clauses and punctuation.
