Student answer (Band 5.0)
Over recent years, recycling the waste from the homes has become a hotly debated issue. This concern is particularly significant due to its impact on our enviornment and atmosphere, affecting both individuals and communities. In this essay i will examine the problems associated with recycling the waste and explore possible solutions, along with their implications for society.
One of the major problem of recycling is that we do not have proper facilities or processing systems to recycle enough waste from homes. This is evident from the fact that our government dont pay that much attention and or adding proper basic requirements for recycling for instance, they should add dustbins in every five meter distance so that no through the trash on roads and also this will be easy for trash collectors to colect all trash at one place.
Despite these challenges there are effective solutions to address enough cycling of waste from homes. One significant approach is creating a proper community for waste collectors. This is particularly effective in situations where like they has a proper garbage truck and collect trash from every houses door dustbin, as it hel[ps to keep the enviornment clean. Furthermore, seperating every kind of dustbin for every trash can also play a crusial role in tackling the issue.
In conclusion, I believe that recycling trash from homes presents several pressing problems, but also viable solutions that should be seriously considered. Moving forward, it is important to address the root causes of why not enough waste from homes is recycled and apply effectice measures to ensure positive outcomes for both individuals and society as a whole.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0
The response is only minimally focused on the question. It discusses problems with household recycling and suggests bins, collection services, and sorting waste, but it does not clearly answer how far laws are needed or explain whether legal requirements are preferable to other measures. The opening promises to examine problems and solutions, and the conclusion repeats that framing rather than stating a definite position on government legislation. The examples are also general and do not show how a law would change people’s behaviour or what consequences might follow. To address the task more fully, state your view directly—for example, whether laws are essential, helpful but insufficient, or unnecessary—and support it with a specific explanation and relevant example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The essay has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Its ideas are grouped broadly by topic, and transitions such as “Despite these challenges” and “In conclusion” help signal movement between sections. However, the progression is not consistently clear: the first body paragraph focuses on facilities, while the second shifts to collection and sorting, without connecting these points to the question of legal requirements. Some linking is awkward or unclear, particularly “This is particularly effective in situations where like they has…” The conclusion also repeats the general problems-and-solutions structure instead of drawing the argument together. Organise the body around reasons for and against laws, and use clearer links between each claim and its explanation.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The response uses some relevant topic vocabulary, including “processing systems,” “waste collectors,” “garbage truck,” and “separating,” so the subject is generally identifiable. However, the range is limited and several choices or forms are inaccurate, which sometimes makes the meaning difficult to follow. Examples include “enough cycling” for recycling, “proper community for waste collectors,” and “dustbins for every trash.” There are also noticeable spelling errors such as “enviornment,” “seperating,” and “crusial.” Aim for precise, natural collocations and check spelling carefully. Vocabulary such as “household waste,” “recycling facilities,” “separate waste by material,” and “enforce a legal requirement” would help you express the task’s ideas more accurately.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
There are attempts at longer sentences and subordinate clauses, for example “This is evident from the fact that…” and “as it helps to keep the environment clean.” However, the range is limited, and complex constructions are often faulty. Errors include subject–verb agreement in “One of the major problem” and “they has,” missing or incorrect verb forms in “our government dont pay” and “so that no through the trash,” and unclear sentence construction in “where like they has a proper garbage truck.” Capitalisation and punctuation are also inconsistent, as in “i” and the long, poorly controlled sentence in the first body paragraph. Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then add clauses while checking agreement, articles, and verb forms.
