Student answer (Band 5.0)

Some people agree that the authority of the nation should take action on recycle of waste materials from home. I completely agree with views because waste is also used again by doing process of recycle of garbage and also reduce pollution in the nation.

The first main reason why I agree with this views is that reduce pollution. This means that when recycling waste materials are also produce low level of carbon in enviroment. For example, people have a habit to reduce less pollution in nation and also make beefical environment where people can feel relax and reduce stress. As a result, the authority of nation also take legal action on making waste or producing hard level of waste.

Furthermore, another benefit is that used in proper or recycle way. In other word, citizens are also play a vital role in nation for using a good way of work.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0

You state a clear position—“I completely agree”—and identify recycling as a way to reduce pollution, which is relevant to the question. However, the response addresses the issue only minimally: it does not explain why laws are needed, how legal requirements might increase household recycling, or whether other approaches could work. The second reason, that citizens should use waste “in proper” ways, is not developed, and the example about feeling relaxed and reducing stress does not clearly support the argument. The response is also 101 words below the required minimum, leaving too little space to develop reasons and relevant examples. Explain the role of enforcement and support each main point with a specific example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

There is a basic structure: an opening paragraph gives your position, followed by two paragraphs introduced with “The first main reason” and “Furthermore.” These signals help the reader recognise that you are presenting reasons. However, the ideas do not progress clearly from the claim to supporting explanation and evidence. For instance, the first body paragraph moves from pollution to people feeling relaxed, then to legal action without showing the links between these points. The final paragraph is very brief and does not provide a clear conclusion. Use one focused idea per paragraph, explain how it supports your position, and connect examples directly to that explanation. A concluding sentence would also make the overall argument feel more complete.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “recycling,” “waste materials,” “carbon,” and “legal action,” so the general subject is identifiable. However, the range is limited and several word choices or combinations are unclear or unnatural, such as “authority of the nation,” “reduce less pollution,” and “hard level of waste.” “Beefical” also appears to be a spelling error, and “recycle” is sometimes used where the noun “recycling” is needed. These inaccuracies make parts of the argument difficult to understand. Build a more precise set of expressions for discussing policy and household waste, such as “require households to separate waste” and “reduce landfill emissions,” and check spelling and word forms when editing.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences, including a sentence beginning “This means that,” and use basic linking structures such as “when” and “because.” However, the range is limited, and errors in sentence construction and verb forms occur frequently enough to make some ideas difficult to follow. For example, “when recycling waste materials are also produce low level of carbon” has an unclear subject and incorrect verb structure, while “citizens are also play” combines incompatible verb forms. The opening sentence also lacks a clear grammatical construction around “take action on.” Practise building accurate subject–verb sentences first, then add subordinate clauses. Check agreement, articles, and verb forms, and punctuate complete sentences clearly.
