Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 3.5
You make an attempt to state a position with “I party agree,” and you mention relevant potential benefits, including reducing pollution, saving costs and conserving natural resources. However, the position is difficult to understand, and the response does not explain how far laws are needed or develop a clear argument about their role. The final point about a lack of government facilities is unfinished, so it cannot support your view. The response is also 107 words, below the required minimum of 250; this leaves too little space to address the question fully. To improve, state your position clearly, explain each reason with a specific example, and complete the discussion of whether laws should be combined with better recycling facilities.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 3.5
There is a basic attempt to organise the response: an opening paragraph, a paragraph beginning “Some people say,” and a contrast introduced by “However.” These signals show an intention to present a position and then consider another point. However, the ideas do not progress clearly: the second paragraph largely repeats the opening claim, and the final paragraph stops after introducing a reason. Connections between points are also unclear, as in “The natural recored are productes” following the discussion of cost. Use separate paragraphs for your position, supporting reasons and counterargument, and make each paragraph develop one main idea with clear links between sentences.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “recycling,” “legal requirement,” “pollution,” “natural” resources and “facilities.” This shows some awareness of the language needed for the question. However, spelling and word-choice problems are frequent and sometimes make the intended meaning difficult to identify: “goverments,” “invorment pollustion,” “natural record producet,” and “fastly reson” are examples. Some phrases are also unnatural, such as “The cost is save.” Build accuracy with common topic collocations before trying more complex expressions—for example, “reduce pollution,” “save money,” and “conserve natural resources.” Proofread spelling and check that each chosen word expresses the intended idea.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.0
The response includes a few simple sentence attempts and tries to express a contrast with “However,” but sentence structures are very limited and many clauses are incomplete or difficult to interpret. For example, “However disagree beause fastly reson lack faclities goverment are not” has no clear grammatical structure or completed idea. Other examples, such as “The natural recored are productes,” show problems with sentence formation and agreement. Articles and sentence boundaries are also often missing or incorrectly handled in the opening. Practise building complete sentences with a subject and verb, then connect them using simple conjunctions. For instance, explain that laws may encourage recycling, but governments also need to provide accessible facilities.
