Student answer (Band 4.5)
Most people claim that enogh of the waste from homes is recycled. They say that only way to increase recycling is for goverments to make it a legal requirements.
Firstly, i agree with the statement that people want to increase recycling. While, nowdays the usage of things are increases rapidly due to rise in population of the world, if we look at the advantages of recycling there many if peopel use plastic canes and threw them into recycling dustins and the Goverment take back into the factory and recycled it can be reuse next time and no plastic pollution occurs.
Furthermore, if we talk about the disadvantages of the recycling it was countable, firstly the factroies that produce pollution to recycle the plastic waste are also bad for our environment because it was like a cycle we recycle plastic waste and more enviormental pollution produces that was very bad for the wholw plant. For Example, if the people wants to goverment increases the recycled process in case more air pollution produced due to burning of fossil fule and produces carbon dioxide so, the once pollution is reduced and other increased that was also bad for uss.
In conclusion, the goverment should focused on recycling and also make the things that are easy dissolve at any place like in the ocean, in sand and on the earth crust, Goverment focused on the factories who ran on fossil fule to contolled the air pollution so the no more pollution produced in any form of pollution.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0
The response addresses recycling and expresses some support for increasing it, but it does not answer the central question about whether laws are needed: there is no clear explanation of how legal requirements would change household behaviour, and the position on government compulsion remains unclear. The discussion instead focuses on recycling’s environmental benefits and the pollution caused by processing plastic, with examples that are difficult to follow and not sufficiently developed. The conclusion recommends government attention to recycling and factories, but does not directly state the extent to which laws are necessary. The response is also 243 words, below the 250-word minimum; the 10 words copied from the task prompt are excluded from that count. Develop a direct position and support it with relevant, specific reasons.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
There is a basic paragraph structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs signalled by “Firstly” and “Furthermore,” and a conclusion. These markers help identify the stages of the response, and the ideas generally relate to recycling and pollution. However, progression is difficult to follow because several sentences combine multiple points without showing how they connect. For example, the first body paragraph moves from population growth to plastic containers, factories and pollution in one long sentence. The second paragraph’s contrast between reduced plastic waste and increased air pollution is also hard to track. Use shorter, more focused paragraphs and make each one develop a clear point about whether laws are needed; use linking words to show precise relationships rather than simply announce a new point.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The response uses a basic range of topic vocabulary, including “recycling,” “plastic pollution,” “factories,” “fossil fuel” and “carbon dioxide,” so the general subject is recognisable. However, vocabulary is often repetitive or inaccurately chosen, which sometimes makes the meaning difficult to understand. Phrases such as “recycling dustins,” “the disadvantages of the recycling it was countable,” and “easy dissolve” do not express the intended ideas clearly. There are also frequent spelling errors, including “enogh,” “goverments,” “enviormental” and “wholw.” Build accuracy with common environmental collocations and check spelling carefully. More precise wording would help distinguish household recycling rules from the pollution associated with industrial processing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The response attempts both simple and complex sentences, including a conditional example beginning “if the people wants” and a contrast introduced by “While.” However, complex structures are often faulty, and errors in verb forms, agreement, articles and sentence boundaries frequently make the message hard to follow. Examples include “the usage of things are increases,” “the Government take back,” and “the government should focused.” Several sentences run on, particularly the first body paragraph, where clauses are joined without clear punctuation. Capitalisation of “i” is also inconsistent. Practise building accurate short sentences first, then combine them with controlled clauses using correct verb forms and punctuation.
