Student answer (Band 5.0)
Some people think that the not enough of the waste from homes is recycled but some human believe that the increase recycling is for government to make it a legal requirment. I think that the laws are more important to make people recycle more of their waste.
Some people think that the only one best way to increase recycling is for government to make it a legal requirment. First of all, recycling process is best for all over world and also best for over enviroment. Recycling process reduce the waste pollution such as air pollution, industrial pollution. If government make recycling a legal requirment, the amount of waste going to landfills decrease. For example, some people throw a waste material in rivers, ocean, beach and canals, this material produce many diseases for animals and human because some poor peoples are also drink water in canals then this waste material are bad effect on him health such as stomach disease, dihoria and some other diseases or produce.
Some people claim that not enough of the waste from homes is recycled. Some people do not recycle thier home waste so they caught in many problems such as heart problem, lungs problem. Some people are to lazy so they cannot seprate their rubbish. So government introduce, many strict rule for our home waste material. For example, many families contain sepreate their rubbish like plastic material, food, metal. This things are easy to recycle their waste.
In conclusion, although that there are some advantages and disadvantages to this issue, I believe that the benefits are become greater than the draw back. Therefore, it important to find a suitable balance and take appropriate steps to achieve a postive results for individual and society.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You give a clear general view that laws are important, and you offer relevant reasons, including reducing landfill waste and encouraging households to separate rubbish. However, the response addresses the question only partially: it does not explain how far laws are needed or consider whether education, incentives, or other measures could also increase recycling. Several points are under-developed or unclear, such as the claim that recycling prevents health problems, which is not directly connected to the role of legal requirements. The conclusion mentions “advantages and disadvantages” and a “suitable balance” without specifying what balance you recommend. To strengthen the response, state your position more precisely and develop each reason with a clear explanation or example. The length requirement is met; 30 words copied from the task prompt were not counted.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has an introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion, and signposting such as “First of all,” “For example,” and “In conclusion” helps identify the stages of your answer. However, there is no clear overall progression: the first body paragraph moves from environmental benefits to water pollution and disease, while the second repeats the point that people do not recycle and then shifts to sorting rubbish. Some links between sentences are difficult to follow, and repeated openings such as “Some people think” make the organisation feel mechanical. The conclusion introduces a general idea of balancing advantages and disadvantages rather than drawing together the argument. Group related points, use clearer references, and make each paragraph develop one main reason.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “recycling,” “landfills,” “rubbish,” and “separate,” so the reader can identify the subject of your argument. However, the range is limited and several words or phrases are repeated, particularly “some people,” “waste material,” and “recycling process.” There are also noticeable spelling and word-choice errors, including “requirment,” “enviroment,” “seprate,” and “dihoria,” which can make parts of the response harder to understand. Some combinations are unnatural, such as “produce many diseases” and “bad effect on him health.” Build a wider set of accurate expressions for environmental impacts and government action, and check spelling and collocations carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple sentences and longer structures, including conditional forms such as “If government make recycling a legal requirment” and a contrastive opening with “although.” However, the range is limited, and attempts at complex sentences are often faulty. Errors in verb agreement and form appear in “recycling process reduce” and “the amount of waste … decrease”; articles and sentence structure are also problematic in “throw a waste material” and “For example, many families contain sepreate their rubbish.” These errors sometimes make relationships between ideas difficult to follow. Practise building accurate sentences with conditional clauses and cause-and-effect links, then check subject–verb agreement, articles, and punctuation in each sentence.
