Student answer (Band 5.0)

It is true that people are not enough of the waste from house is reused. Nevertheless, they argue that governments should give a rule for individuals, which increasing use for recycling products.I believe that laws are needed to make people recycle more of their waste.

There are a number of reasons why many people claim that people rarely use for recycling items. One possible reason is that they are not interested use for recycling products because they earn enough money their daily lives, which is decreasd their attentions for consuming reused goods. Another reason could be that people are always tended to authentic items and do not prefer to old items. Furthemore, they believe fresh items are always good smell and use more comfortably.

For example, even when people are using unique products at home; therefore they do not like to worn products.

In addition to the reasons mentioned above that why some people products are rarely recycled. Nonetheless, there are several ways how to increase recycling. Firstly, if governments provide some regulations for using recycled products at home, they might be increased use for reused goods. Without governments should discuss about the opportunities for using recycled items. Secondly, governments will not interest about recycling products, if it creates detrimental impact on the environment. For instance, American government is yearly advertising about recycled products. Then this advertisement increases using recycled products.

All in all, many people argue that few people are used recycle goods, which is not enough for recycling. I firmly believe that governments give a essential laws. After that, this rule will increase their conerntration on recyled products.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You state a clear view in the introduction—“I believe that laws are needed”—and return to it in the conclusion. You also attempt to give reasons and examples, such as people preferring new goods and government advertising. However, the response only partially develops the question of whether laws are needed: much of the discussion concerns why people do not choose reused products, while the proposed regulations and their likely effects are not explained clearly. The example about American government advertising supports awareness-raising more than legal requirements, so its connection to your position is unclear. Develop one or two relevant arguments about how laws could work and support them with a specific example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion, and signposts such as “Firstly,” “Secondly” and “All in all” help show the intended structure. However, progression within the paragraphs is often difficult to follow. The second paragraph shifts from reasons for not recycling to an example about “unique products” without making the link clear. In the next paragraph, “In addition to the reasons…” repeats the previous point, and the sentence beginning “Without governments…” does not connect logically to the surrounding ideas. Use each paragraph for one clear purpose, arrange its points in a logical order, and make references and transitions precise rather than relying mainly on formulaic linking phrases.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “regulations,” “recycled products,” “detrimental impact” and “environment.” However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations make the meaning unclear, as in “use for recycling products,” “authentic items,” “worn products” and “conerntration on recyled products.” Some expressions appear to confuse recycling with buying or using second-hand goods, which affects precision. Spelling errors such as “decreasd,” “Furthemore” and “recyled” also reduce accuracy. Build a reliable set of topic phrases—such as “separate household waste,” “recycling facilities” and “enforce recycling rules”—and check that each phrase expresses the intended idea naturally.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You try to use both simple and more complex sentences, including clauses with “because,” “which” and “if.” However, complex structures are often faulty, and frequent errors can make the reader work to understand the message. For example, “people are not enough of the waste from house is reused” has an unclear subject and verb structure, while “they might be increased use” does not form a correct passive or active construction. There are also problems with articles, agreement and sentence boundaries, as in “a essential laws” and “products.Then.” Practise building accurate basic clauses first, then add subordinate clauses; check subject–verb agreement, verb forms, articles and punctuation in each sentence.
