Student answer (Band 5.0)

Well, i think there are lots of laws can make a government for the people recycle more of their waste. Like as government can pay a little bit of money for the serious peoples of their country to recycle more of their waste. Government need to do some social aweness about benefits of recycle waste, that we need them of the land. It can be good fartilizer for harvest more and more food for their live and socity. And like as i said they can pay them a bit of money so people can be inspired more and take this as serious issue. In next world we need more food and home agriculture steps but, this can't be done without recycling waste. Only government can do the legal requiements so that people can come day by day to this process of recycle their waste. Not only depend on government people need to be more serious for this opportunity. If a country have 2M peoples that mean there are 4M tons of waste every month. Government can collect the waste from their home and distribute to the people whom may need it. In next step the farmers can take those without any cost and use it in their land. They can be a natural fartilizer and really good for the land. Trees and other vegetables need this natural fartilizer for their best out come. So we can say it can take from peoples home with a simple cost and distribute to the farmars.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You give a relevant position by arguing that government action can encourage recycling, especially through payments, public awareness and collecting waste for farmers. The fertilizer example provides a concrete reason for recycling, and you also briefly acknowledge that individuals must take responsibility. However, the question asks how far laws are needed, and your response mainly describes incentives and waste distribution rather than explaining whether legal requirements are necessary or sufficient. The position is therefore not consistently clear, and several claims—such as the figure about millions of people and tons of waste—are unsupported or difficult to interpret. State your view directly, then develop reasons for and against making recycling compulsory with specific, credible examples.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

There is some organisation: the response moves from government incentives and awareness to collecting household waste and using it on farms. Linking expressions such as “And like as I said,” “In next step” and “So” show attempts to connect ideas. However, the response is presented as one continuous paragraph, so the main points and their relationship are difficult to follow. Several ideas are repeated, particularly the payment proposal and the fertilizer benefit, while the progression from laws to practical recycling arrangements is not clearly signposted. Use separate paragraphs for your position, supporting reasons and conclusion, and make each paragraph develop one main point. Choose precise links that show whether you are adding a reason, giving an example or drawing a conclusion.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “recycle,” “waste,” “government,” “farmers” and “natural fertilizer,” so the general subject is understandable. However, the range is limited and key words are repeated frequently, especially “waste,” “people” and “government.” Several word choices or forms are inaccurate and sometimes make the meaning unclear: “social aweness,” “serious peoples,” “fartilizer,” “farmars” and “best out come.” Phrases such as “laws can make a government” and “for their live and socity” are also not natural in this context. Build a wider set of accurate terms for legislation, household waste and incentives, and check spelling and collocations. More precise vocabulary would help distinguish legal obligations from voluntary encouragement.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt to connect clauses and express reasons, for example in “If a country have 2M peoples that mean…” and “Trees and other vegetables need this natural fartilizer…,” but most sentences rely on simple patterns, and attempts at longer structures are often faulty. Errors in agreement and sentence construction occur throughout: “there are lots of laws can make,” “Government need,” and “If a country have” need different verb forms or clause structures. Articles, plurals and punctuation are also inconsistent, as in “a simple cost” and the comma before “this can't be done.” These errors sometimes make relationships between ideas hard to understand. Practise accurate subject–verb agreement and build longer sentences from clear main and subordinate clauses, checking each sentence for a complete structure.
