Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0

The response attempts to summarize the data but fails to provide a clear overview or accurately report the main features. While it mentions the oldest system (London) and the highest passenger volume (Tokyo), the data interpretation is often inaccurate. For example, the claim that 'Tokyo, London and Paris other all per year visters are also no more than 150' is factually incorrect based on the provided table. The comparison between route length and passenger numbers is attempted but lacks clarity and precision. To improve, ensure you accurately transcribe data and group information logically rather than listing cities in a disjointed manner.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 4.5

The essay lacks a logical progression of ideas. Paragraphs are present but do not serve a clear purpose, and the transition between sentences is often abrupt or confusing. Cohesive devices are used ineffectively; for instance, the use of 'meanwile' and 'Eventhough' does not accurately reflect the relationship between the ideas presented. The referencing is also unclear, making it difficult for the reader to follow the comparison of the six cities. Improved use of linking words and a more structured approach to grouping the data would significantly enhance the flow of the response.

Lexical Resource — Band 4.0

The vocabulary is very limited and repetitive, with frequent spelling errors that occasionally impede understanding (e.g., 'illestrate', 'jorny', 'railwaies', 'visters', 'rought'). The range of vocabulary is insufficient to discuss the data with any degree of precision. There is a reliance on basic, often misused, terms. To reach a higher band, you need to expand your range of vocabulary to include terms related to data analysis, such as 'commence', 'span', 'fluctuate', and 'proportion', and focus on accurate spelling and correct word forms.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.0

The response contains frequent grammatical errors that often distort the intended meaning. There is a lack of control over basic sentence structures, with many run-on sentences and missing articles (e.g., 'Table illestrate', 'Tokyo system have large numer'). Complex sentence structures are attempted but are almost always faulty, leading to confusion. Punctuation is also inconsistent. To improve, focus on mastering simple sentence structures first, ensuring subject-verb agreement and correct article usage, before attempting more complex grammatical forms.
