Over all number of Kilometers of routes gradually decrease every city the amount of passengers also vary in every city .London has 394 kilo meters route but and the users were 775 million per. On the other side paris train route is 199 kilometers but the useres are 1191. In tokyo in 1927 the route is only 155 kilometer but they are busy in facilitating 1927 milion people per year.

it is reported 1976 that Washington Dc has only 126 kilometer route and it also has round about 1785 milion less passengers per year rather than Tokyo.
