Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 3.0
The response fails to adequately cover the requirements of the prompt and falls short of the minimum length requirement, containing 147 words instead of the required 150. The student provides a very minimal response that attempts to describe the table of underground railway systems, but the data is handled poorly with repetitive introductions and a lack of proper reporting of the main features or comparisons. Ideas are extremely limited and under-developed, resulting in a response that only touches upon the task tangentially without giving a proper overview of the cities, dates, routes, or passenger numbers.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 3.5
Information and ideas are not arranged coherently throughout the text. The response lacks a clear overall progression, and the structuring of paragraphs is very poor, with the writing divided into repetitive introductory blocks that simply restate the prompt in slightly different ways rather than building a logical body of information. Cohesive devices are either missing or used inadequately, such as repetitive use of phrases like 'Here in the table' and 'In the table', which fails to guide the reader smoothly through the data points.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.0
The vocabulary used is very basic and repetitive, frequently relying on simple words from the prompt like 'table', 'cities', and 'system'. There are numerous spelling and word-choice errors that stem from a restricted range of vocabulary, such as 'lounched' instead of launched, 'Differents' instead of different, 'word' instead of world, 'digitals' instead of digital, and 'Butt' instead of But. These lexical limitations and errors are noticeable and often strain the reader's ability to fully understand the intended meaning of the sentences.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
The grammar demonstrates a very limited range of structures, with frequent errors that cause difficulty for the reader. There are persistent issues with basic sentence formation, verb tenses, and agreements, such as 'Underground Railway System is very digitals tool based projects' and 'In the table also perform the different activies'. Simple sentence patterns dominate, and attempts at more complex structures are faulty or incomplete, while punctuation and capitalization also show frequent inaccuracies.
