Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response fails to fully address the prompt. While you attempt to discuss the relationship between wealth and helping others, the position is unclear and inconsistent. You state you are 'not sure' and then agree, but the arguments provided are disjointed and do not directly answer the extent to which you agree. Furthermore, the response is under the 250-word minimum, which limits the development of your ideas. To improve, ensure you clearly state your position in the introduction and provide well-developed, relevant arguments in each paragraph that directly relate to the prompt's focus on the moral or social responsibility of the wealthy.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay lacks a clear logical progression. While there is an attempt at paragraphing, the transitions between ideas are often confusing or missing. For example, the use of 'Sub sequence' and 'In the one hand' is misused, making it difficult to follow your train of thought. Cohesive devices are used mechanically and often incorrectly, which disrupts the flow of the text. To improve, focus on using simple, clear linking words like 'firstly', 'however', and 'consequently' to connect your sentences and paragraphs logically. Ensure each paragraph has a clear topic sentence.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

Your vocabulary is limited and contains frequent errors in word choice and spelling, such as 'rice' instead of 'rich', 'assigns' instead of 'assist', and 'petrolum'. These errors often impede communication, as the reader has to guess your intended meaning. You rely on a very basic range of words and struggle to use them in the correct context. To improve, focus on learning the correct spelling and usage of common academic vocabulary. Try to expand your range by practicing collocations related to wealth, society, and philanthropy.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that make it difficult to understand your points. There are consistent issues with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'the person have decision maker'), sentence structure, and article usage. Complex sentence structures are attempted but are almost always faulty, leading to confusion. The majority of your sentences contain errors, which significantly affects readability. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction—subject, verb, and object—before attempting more complex structures. Proofreading for basic errors like verb tense consistency and pluralization will also help.
