Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The essay addresses the prompt and maintains a clear position throughout. However, the development of ideas is somewhat superficial. While you mention that rich people can establish organizations or build homes, these points are not fully extended or supported with deeper analysis. The introduction is a bit repetitive, and the conclusion introduces a slightly contradictory point by stating it does not depend only on rich people, which weakens the strength of your initial argument. To reach a higher band, ensure that each paragraph provides a more detailed explanation of how wealth specifically facilitates altruism, rather than just listing categories of people.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear progression of ideas from the introduction to the conclusion. You use some cohesive devices such as 'To begin with,' 'Furthermore,' and 'In conclusion' to signal the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly awkward, such as 'next comes upper middle class has have more opportunities.' Additionally, some referencing is unclear, and the flow between sentences could be smoother. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that pronouns clearly refer back to their antecedents would enhance the overall coherence.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, but it lacks the range and precision required for higher bands. You rely on basic terms like 'rich people,' 'needy individuals,' and 'good.' There are also some errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'provide shoulders to needy individuals' and 'built home stays.' To improve, you should aim to incorporate more sophisticated vocabulary related to socio-economic status and philanthropy, and pay closer attention to collocations to ensure your word choices sound natural and precise in an academic context.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
There is a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but the essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Examples include subject-verb agreement issues ('every individual have,' 'not everyone's financial conditions is'), incorrect verb forms ('people which are stood,' 'who's earnings'), and punctuation errors. While the meaning is generally understandable, these persistent errors in basic grammar prevent the essay from reaching a higher band. You should focus on proofreading for subject-verb agreement and ensuring that relative clauses are constructed correctly.
