Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0
The response is significantly under the required word count of 250 words, totaling only 73 words. Because the essay is incomplete, the task is only partially addressed. The position is stated in the introduction, but the ideas are not developed or supported, and the essay ends abruptly mid-sentence. To improve, you must ensure you write at least 250 words, providing full paragraphs with clear topic sentences, supporting evidence, and examples to justify your opinion. The current length prevents a full exploration of the prompt.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 4.0
The essay lacks a clear structure due to its unfinished state. While there is an attempt at paragraphing, the progression of ideas is interrupted by the incomplete nature of the text. There is a lack of cohesive devices to link sentences and ideas logically. For example, the transition between the introduction and the first body paragraph is abrupt. To improve, focus on using linking words such as 'furthermore', 'consequently', or 'in addition' to connect your arguments and ensure each paragraph has a clear, singular focus.
Lexical Resource — Band 4.0
The vocabulary is very limited and contains significant errors, such as 'fainnacail' (likely intended as 'financial') and 'human' used where 'person' or 'individual' would be more appropriate. The range of vocabulary is insufficient to express complex ideas effectively. To improve, you should focus on learning topic-specific vocabulary related to wealth and social responsibility, and practice using these words in complete, grammatically correct sentences. Avoid repeating basic words like 'human' or 'thing'.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.0
There are frequent grammatical errors that impede communication, such as 'Few people things that' (should be 'Few people think that') and 'money and strong background and many human have the goal'. The sentence structures are basic and often fragmented. There is a lack of control over basic subject-verb agreement and word order. To improve, focus on mastering simple sentence structures first, ensuring correct verb forms and word order, before attempting more complex grammatical structures.
