Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, which significantly impacts the development of ideas. While you clearly state your position in the introduction, the supporting arguments are underdeveloped and lack sufficient depth. For instance, the second paragraph mentions donating to the needy, but the explanation is repetitive and lacks specific, well-reasoned examples. The third paragraph is fragmented and fails to fully explore the role of wealth in societal development. To improve, you must expand your arguments with more detailed explanations and ensure you meet the minimum length requirement to allow for a full exploration of the prompt.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the flow of ideas is often disjointed. You use some cohesive devices like 'Firstly' and 'Secondly', but they are sometimes used mechanically or incorrectly, such as the transition 'Hence, agree point' which is unclear. The logical progression between sentences is occasionally interrupted by grammatical errors, making it difficult for the reader to follow your argument. To improve, focus on using a wider variety of linking words and ensure that each paragraph has a clear topic sentence followed by supporting details that flow logically from one to the next.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

Your vocabulary is generally adequate for basic communication but lacks the precision and range required for a higher band. You rely on simple phrasing and some word choices are unnatural or incorrect, such as 'supporting toward my view' and 'surive their life'. There are also spelling errors like 'reacive'. To improve, try to incorporate more academic collocations and synonyms. Avoid repetitive phrasing and focus on using words that accurately convey your intended meaning in a formal context.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Examples include 'I firmly have a belief that being rich and helping other's and support them', which is syntactically incorrect, and 'there is no paradox that they should invest', which does not fit the context. Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma usage. To improve, focus on subject-verb agreement, correct preposition usage, and ensuring that your complex sentences are grammatically sound.
