Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position and providing relevant arguments. You successfully discuss how wealth facilitates helping others through charitable donations and job creation. However, the development is somewhat limited. While you mention that there are 'many significant benefits' to being wealthy in the introduction, you do not fully explore these in the body paragraphs, which focus almost exclusively on the 'helping others' aspect. To reach a higher band, ensure that all parts of your introduction are balanced with the body paragraphs. The conclusion is a bit abrupt and introduces new ideas (freedom, security) that were not previously discussed, which slightly weakens the overall task response.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear central topic. You use basic cohesive devices such as 'Firstly', 'Secondly', 'For instance', and 'In conclusion' to guide the reader. However, the flow is occasionally interrupted by mechanical errors and awkward phrasing, such as 'Therefor, having financial resources giving power'. The use of referencing is sometimes unclear, and the transition between the main argument and the secondary benefits mentioned in the conclusion is not fully integrated. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring smoother transitions between sentences would enhance the coherence of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'disadvantaged', 'poverty reduction', and 'financial resources'. However, there are several instances of incorrect word choice and collocation, such as 'donate their funds in charities' (should be 'to'), 'in need families' (should be 'families in need'), and 'contribute in the growth' (should be 'contribute to'). These errors are noticeable but do not prevent the reader from understanding your meaning. To improve, focus on learning the specific prepositions that accompany certain verbs and nouns, and try to incorporate more precise academic collocations.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but the accuracy is inconsistent. There are frequent errors in subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'students who belongs to poor families') and article usage (e.g., 'contribute in the society'). Additionally, some sentences are grammatically incomplete or awkward, such as 'wealth can provide individuals with the resources to those in need'. While the meaning is generally clear, these persistent errors in basic grammar and punctuation limit the score. To progress, focus on proofreading for subject-verb agreement and ensuring that every sentence has a clear, grammatically correct structure.
