Student answer (Band 6.0)
It is often claimed that wealthy people have the opportunity of helping others and they should consider it as the most crucial activity about being rich. In my opinion, although I totally agree that financial ability offers wonderful chances to support the needy ones, the decision of aiding depends on the individual's attitude and perspective of whether they take it as a priority.
It is undeniable that in today's modern world, money plays an indispensable role in every aspect of life from meeting basic needs to maintaining luxury lifestyles. If they contribute even a little amount in improving the the impoverished life, this will create a large impact in society's overall development. They can take part in this aiding programs in various ways such as donating clothes or basic items, initiating programs related to creating career opportunities, etc. Since, they are themselves the source of money, they will sponsors their own program which will ensure their program runs smoothly without any scarcities.
Nevertheless, not all rich think like they should help others. Everybody holds different ambition, and the parameters of how much wealthy a person is a subjective issue. A person even after having enough money will not consider himself wealthy and try to invest more on him before contribute his resource to others wellness. Conversely, some people with little resource still try to help others. It's all about mindset, even many rich will choose to utilize their resources to make new businesses, launchings more institutions in order to make more profit. Hence, in spite of having financial capabilities, they will try to keep their wealth to themselves.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The student addresses all parts of the task and establishes a clear position throughout the response. In the introduction, the writer states that while financial ability offers wonderful chances to support others, the decision depends on individual perspective and mindset. The body paragraphs effectively explore both sides of the argument: acknowledging how monetary contributions can significantly impact society's development, as seen when the writer notes, "If they contribute even a little amount in improving the impoverished life, this will create a large impact," while also examining the counter-perspective that wealthy individuals may prioritize business investments over philanthropy. Ideas are relevant and generally well-extended, though some supporting points contain slight generalizations. Overall, the task is successfully covered, aligning well with the Band 7 requirements.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The response exhibits clear logical organization and progression throughout. The essay is appropriately divided into four distinct paragraphs with a logical flow from the introduction to body paragraphs exploring societal impact versus individual mindset, and concluding with a summary. Cohesive devices are employed with reasonable flexibility, such as "In my opinion," "It is undeniable that," "Nevertheless," and "Conversely." However, referencing is occasionally imprecise, as seen in the phrase "If they contribute even a little amount..." where the pronoun antecedent is slightly unclear given the shift to plural references later. Paragraphing is used sufficiently and appropriately, ensuring the overall progression remains easy to follow, supporting a solid Band 7 score.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The student uses a sufficient range of vocabulary for the task, demonstrating some flexibility and precision. Examples of appropriate less common items include "indispensable role," "impoverished life," "scarcities," and "financial capabilities." However, there are noticeable word choice and collocation errors that prevent a higher score, such as "helping others and they should consider it as the most crucial activity about being rich," "aiding programs," "how much wealthy a person is," and "launchings more institutions." Additionally, minor slips like "sponsors" instead of "sponsor" and "contribute his resource to others wellness" indicate occasional lexical inaccuracies. Despite these flaws, the vocabulary is adequate to convey the message clearly, placing it firmly at Band 6.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The writer demonstrates a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, utilizing conditional structures like "If they contribute even a little amount... this will create a large impact" and concession clauses such as "in spite of having financial capabilities, they will try to keep their wealth to themselves." There are, however, several grammatical errors throughout the text that persist, such as "the needy ones" (awkward phrasing), "improving the the impoverished life" (article repetition), "Since, they are themselves the source of money" (unnecessary comma and plural agreement issues), and "its up to people's mindset" (missing apostrophe). These errors do not impede overall communication, but they occur frequently enough to prevent the response from achieving a Band 7.
