Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0

The response fails to meet the minimum word count of 250 words, containing only 239 words, which results in a direct penalty to the Task Achievement score. Furthermore, the content struggles to develop a coherent argument addressing the prompt regarding whether the most important aspect of being rich is helping others. While the student attempts an introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion, the ideas remain highly repetitive, vague, and underdeveloped. Phrases such as 'people not helps poor people not distribute' lack clarity and fail to form a substantive discussion. Although a general position is hinted at, the lack of developed support, coupled with the under-length penalty, places this response at a Band 4.0 level.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 4.0

The essay is divided into paragraphs, but the overall organization and logical progression are seriously disrupted by heavily templated, disconnected phrases. Sentences such as 'This factor has far-reaching implications in the context of area' and 'For example, clearly illustrates how this outcome has manifested in real life' lack necessary referents and cohesive ties, leading to a breakdown in meaning. Cohesive devices are used mechanically and inaccurately, creating confusion rather than clear links between ideas. Although paragraphing is attempted, the internal coherence within each paragraph is weak, preventing the reader from following a clear line of thought. Consequently, this performance aligns closely with the Band 4.0 descriptors for Coherence and Cohesion.

Lexical Resource — Band 4.0

The vocabulary used is extremely basic, repetitive, and in places obscured by inaccurate word forms and collocation errors, such as 'most impotant' and 'demostrates'. The student relies heavily on generic templates rather than precise vocabulary relevant to the prompt. Less common lexical items are either absent or misused, and spelling errors ('whwn', 'advantags', 'whey') further reduce clarity. While the vocabulary is just sufficient to hint at the topic, it often strains the reader's understanding and fails to convey precise meaning. This corresponds to a Band 4.0 for Lexical Resource.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.0

Grammatical control is weak throughout the essay, with frequent errors that frequently distort meaning and impede communication. The response contains numerous incomplete or structurally flawed sentences, such as 'While both sides agree/disagree with the view that helps poor people Allah Pak give you more than you give' and 'everyone was willing to give others a hand whey they needed help.' The range of grammatical structures is severely limited, and attempts at complex sentences result in severe errors in tense, agreement, and clause structure. Punctuation is also erratic. These persistent issues reflect the descriptors for Band 4.0.
