Student answer (Band 5.5)

Many say that most crucial thing about the wealthy people has the opportunity to assist others. this essay agrees that they help poor people by providing food and financial support in difficult time.

Wealthy people have power to buy anything from the world because they had earn enough money to spend on everything which they need and they bought those thing that they desires. Furthurmore, some rich people are very kind they care about other people who need of food they dont ask for luxury lifestyle but they only basic necessity so many rich people consider the part of your income as part of these needy people they distribute these part to those. For example, most of people who lives in our neighbour they can't afford to feed only two time food properly so most of us belong to middle or higher class family so we must take care of it.

Other people who diagree by saying rich people don't take care of other as they spend money on themself, enjoy luxury lifestyle leave the other helpless. they have not the responsibility to compulsory take care but it is the society nome to take care as it helps to create love among poor and rich people. i agree with this point to help others in difficult time. For instance, most people in the world are helpless the other dont take care they must help other, government should make shelter for the poor people who could not afford a house and provide a food to stay and happy life

in conclusion, wealthy individuals must help other in the diffcult time as they have money to spend on others. they give some food which poor people could not afford basic necessit. our government also corporate with needy peoples

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses all parts of the task, taking a clear position that agrees with the prompt. The main idea that wealthy individuals have a unique opportunity to help others through financial and material support is present. However, the development of ideas is limited and at times repetitive. For instance, the discussion moves back and forth between charitable giving and government responsibility without fully extending the main arguments. The use of personal anecdotes, such as 'most of people who lives in our neighbour they can't afford to feed', detracts slightly from academic tone and generalisation, pointing towards Band 6 performance where ideas are relevant but somewhat under-developed.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay displays a coherent overall arrangement with a discernible introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. However, paragraphing is poorly managed; sentences are crammed together, and the lack of proper transitions or punctuation makes logical progression difficult to follow at times. For example, sentences like 'Wealthy people have power to buy anything... Furthurmore, some rich people are very kind...' run together without clear thematic separation. Cohesive devices are minimal, mechanical, or inaccurate, such as 'Other people who diagree by saying...' and referencing is occasionally unclear, which aligns closely with Band 5 descriptors.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The student uses an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, successfully conveying general meaning with terms like 'financial support', 'luxury lifestyle', and 'basic necessity'. However, there are noticeable limitations and frequent errors in word choice, form, and spelling, such as 'Furthurmore', 'diagree', 'themself', and 'corporate' instead of 'cooperate'. Less common lexical items are attempted but often lack precision or correct collocation, placing the response firmly at Band 5.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, but control over grammar is weak throughout the text. There are frequent errors in verb tenses, subject-verb agreement, and missing articles, such as 'most crucial thing', 'they had earn', 'they dont ask for luxury lifestyle', and 'provide a food'. Punctuation is largely neglected, with missing capital letters and run-on sentences that require the reader to work harder to understand the intended meaning. These frequent grammatical errors are characteristic of Band 5.
