Student answer (Band 5.5)
Many people argue that the most vital thing about being rich, they can help to diminish poverty in the world they have opportunity to help others. I strongly agree with this viewpoint because many people do not enough money for good education, even some people cannot afford important thing, which they need most such as groceries and households.
On the one hand, individuals who have a lot of money they can contribute in good education system and country economic. This is because rich can invest in educational institutes, which can provide to children quality education without tuition fees. They can secure their future with high-paying salary since well funded universities offer placements for the students. Moreover, rich people can help to growth of country economic. A clear example of this is that American rich people pay a large amount of taxes and their money government use for built new schools and hospitals with good facilities. Consequently, the general public live healthier life their children study in cost-effective institutes.
Furthermore, many homeless people are living with poverty their financial condition so bad they do not have sufficient funds for fulfilling their families needs, but rich person can give some money for groceries and clothes. For instance, Indian cars brands such Tata once the biggest car manufacturer company in the world, they donate a substantial amount of money in charity.
In conclusion, rich people and prominent companies can contribute in better education and they reduce poverty. From my perspective individuals can help poor people to overcome their bad financial condition.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position that the most important aspect of being wealthy is the opportunity to help others, supporting it with reasons related to education and poverty reduction. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited and repetitive. For instance, the discussion on education touches upon funding institutes and paying taxes, but these points lack deeper elaboration and specific examples beyond a general mention of Indian car brands like Tata. While the main task requirements are met with a clear position throughout, the supporting arguments tend to over-generalize and remain at a somewhat superficial level, aligning closely with the Band 6 descriptors.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The essay displays a coherent overall arrangement with a clear attempt at paragraphing, separating the introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion. However, cohesion is frequently faulty and mechanical. The writer relies heavily on basic cohesive devices and transitions like 'On the one hand', 'Moreover', and 'Furthermore', but referencing and linking within sentences are often unclear or awkward, as seen in 'Many people argue that the most vital thing about being rich, they can help to diminish poverty...' where pronoun referencing fails. Paragraph progression is discernible, but the lack of smooth links between clauses and ideas restricts the score to a 5.5.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
The vocabulary used is adequate for the task, allowing the writer to communicate their basic ideas about wealth and charity. There are attempts to use less common vocabulary and topic-specific terms, such as 'diminish poverty', 'financial condition', and 'substantial amount'. However, there are noticeable inaccuracies in word choice, collocation, and word forms, such as 'country economic' instead of 'country's economy' or 'economic growth', and 'rich can invest' instead of 'the rich can invest'. Spelling is generally acceptable, but frequent lexical inaccuracies and awkward phrasing place this response firmly in the Band 5.5 range.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but control over grammar is inconsistent. There are frequent grammatical errors, particularly regarding missing prepositions, incorrect verb forms, run-on sentences, and comma splices. For example, the opening sentence contains a structural error ('Many people argue that the most vital thing about being rich, they can help...'). Other errors include 'government use for built' instead of 'used to build' and 'live healthier life their children study' which lacks necessary conjunctions and articles. Although the meaning is generally understandable despite the errors, the high frequency of structural slips prevents the score from reaching a 6.0.
