Student answer (Band 5.5)
It is often argued that being rich is an important thing in life.Through this ways every rich person has an opportunity to help others.I totally disagree with this statement because every indivduals want to become a rich so that htey fulfill their own dreams or their family.
On the one hand, rich people has get an opportunity to help others.Ror everyone ich people provide free education, medical and nutritional services to those individuals who cant afford these services.Through this way the rate of poverty become decreased in our countrt upto some extent.for instance if a wealthy provide helps the poor people by following ways such as paid fees for their children in school then children get a good education and one day a child get a good job.As a results wealthy people helps to reduce the rate of poverty or improve the economic status of our country.
on the other hand, everyone want to become a rich not to helps others some person wants to become a rich to improve their personal as well as professional life.To elaborate this point an individual want to become a rich so that they accomplished their own dreams as well as their family.secondly they want to improve the economic status of their family .moreover person wamt to become rich so that they fulfill their needs and their family. For instance if a person become rich they provide good educational or others services to their children and one day their child get a good job or everyone felt proud on them.As a result through this ways person lives in a luxury lifestyle and improve the financial conditions of their family.
To be conclude rich people get an opportuniy to help others or reduce the poverty rate in our cuntry yet i beleive that everyone want to become a rich not only to fulfill their own neeeds but also helpful to improve the financial conditions of their family.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
The response addresses the task only partially. While the writer manages to present a clear position in the introduction stating total disagreement with the prompt, the ideas presented in the body paragraphs are limited and under-developed. For example, the argument that rich people help reduce poverty by paying school fees is raised, but it lacks sufficient explanation or specific real-world context. Similarly, the counter-argument that people want wealth for personal and familial dreams is repeated multiple times rather than extended with fresh supporting points. To move to a higher level, the writer needs to fully develop all parts of the task with extended explanations and deeper supporting evidence rather than relying on repetitive statements.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
There is some basic organisation in the essay, featuring a standard introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion, but it lacks a clear overall progression. Paragraphing is attempted, but internal cohesion is weak and repetitive. Cohesive devices are used rather mechanically, such as starting multiple sentences with 'Through this way' or 'As a result', which makes the flow feel predictable and clumsy. Furthermore, referencing is not always clear, and the transition between ideas feels disjointed. To achieve a higher score, the writer should employ a wider and more varied range of cohesive devices naturally and ensure each paragraph progresses logically from the previous one without redundant phrasing.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is limited and minimally adequate for the task. The writer attempts some less common vocabulary, such as 'nutritional services' and 'luxury lifestyle', but these are accompanied by noticeable errors in word choice, form, and spelling, such as 'indivduals', 'htey', 'Ror everyone ich people', 'cuntry', and 'wamt'. Repetition of common words like 'rich', 'help', and 'family' restricts the lexical range significantly. To improve in this area, the writer must expand their vocabulary range, focus on correct word formation, and eliminate spelling mistakes that occasionally cause difficulty for the reader in grasping the intended meaning.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The writer demonstrates a limited range of structures, relying mostly on simple sentences, while attempts at complex sentences are frequently faulty. There are persistent errors in basic grammatical categories, including subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'every indivduals want', 'a wealthy provide helps', 'person become rich'), articles (e.g., 'in our countrt', 'in a luxury lifestyle'), and verb tenses ('rate of poverty become decreased', 'everyone felt proud'). These frequent errors can cause some difficulty and hesitation for the reader. To progress, the writer needs to incorporate a wider variety of error-free complex sentence structures and exercise much better control over basic grammatical rules and punctuation.
