Some say that the most important thing about being rich is that one has the opportunity to help others. To what extent do you agree or disagree?
Student answer (Band 5.5)
Being wealthy in current economical termoil is an underrated privilege, and not everyone can have it. However, the perspective that being rich allows you to help others is not the same for everyone. As far as I am concerned, I completely agree with the notion that being rich gives the opportunity to help others.
Being rich allows you to expand your network and collaborating strenghts through numerous business goals and objectives. The ability to invent and invest drastically increases with financial freedom. Additionally, it grants you the freedom to pursue your education and achievement of your career objectives without any financial constraints.Collectively, this leads to commencent of more opportunities for your friends and acquainstances. Nevertheless, being rich is not confined to financial freedom and education excellence,it allows you to be philanothropist.Furthermore, the potential to be contributing factor for the development of subsidised education , public health services and charity become substantially greater for wealthy individuals which eventually turns into a opportunity for helping others.Alongside, being rich allows you to be a helping hand for underprivilege children and for their education. It provides you the courage to get them free from child labor and contribute for their educational purposes.
To sum up ,being rich grants you the fortune to help others in distinct ways that ranges from the course of appealing business development to funded education.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt regarding whether the most important thing about being rich is helping others, presenting a clear position that agrees with this idea. However, the length requirement is not met, as the essay contains only 218 words against the minimum of 250 words. Furthermore, ideas are limited and under-developed. While points are made about business networks, education, and philanthropy, they lack sufficient explanation and concrete examples to fully explore the prompt. To move to a higher level, the writer needs to expand the word count and provide deeper, fully elaborated arguments with specific illustrations.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
There is some overall organisation with a clear introduction and conclusion, but the essay lacks a clear overall progression. Paragraphing is weak, as almost all body points are crammed into a single massive, dense paragraph rather than being logically separated into distinct topical units. Cohesive devices are sometimes inaccurate or repetitive, such as the frequent use of 'Additionally' and 'Furthermore' without smooth transitions. Referencing is also occasionally unclear. To improve, the writer should use standard paragraphing practices to separate distinct ideas and employ a wider range of cohesive ties more naturally to guide the reader through the text.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
The vocabulary is limited but minimally adequate to convey the basic message. The writer attempts some less common vocabulary items, such as 'philanthropist' and 'financial freedom', but these are accompanied by noticeable errors in word form, spelling, and collocation, including 'economical termoil', 'collaboarting strenghts', 'commencement of more opportunities', 'education excellence', and 'philanothropist'. These inaccuracies and spelling errors sometimes cause difficulty for the reader. To achieve a higher band, the writer must expand lexical control, ensure correct word forms and accurate spelling, and reduce reliance on basic phrasing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
The response demonstrates a limited range of sentence structures, and attempts at complex sentences are frequently faulty. There are frequent errors in punctuation, spacing, and word boundaries, such as missing spaces after commas and periods (e.g., 'However, the', 'Objectives. The', 'To sum up ,being'). Additionally, issues with subject-verb agreement and article usage persist throughout the text, such as 'charity become' and 'a opportunity'. These errors require effort from the reader to decode the intended meaning. To progress, the writer needs to incorporate a wider variety of complex structures with greater grammatical accuracy and pay careful attention to punctuation and mechanics.
