Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

The response addresses the prompt partially and takes a clear position by agreeing with the statement, but the ideas remain limited and under-developed. For instance, the writer mentions funding social welfare and environmental events or investing in startups, but these points are stated briefly without sufficient explanation or specific examples. Furthermore, the response suffers from a critical length issue, as it contains only 226 words, thus failing to meet the required 250-word minimum for Task 2. This lack of development and incomplete length prevent the response from achieving a higher score.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

The response shows some organization, such as attempting an introductory paragraph and body paragraphs, but there is no clear overall progression of ideas. Cohesive devices are used awkwardly or inaccurately, such as the abrupt transition 'Meanwhile that actions' and repetitive phrasing throughout the text. Paragraphing is also problematic, as the essay breaks down completely at the end with an incomplete concluding fragment ('In conclusion, aggluent...'). Referencing is occasionally unclear, making the logical connection between sentences difficult to follow at times.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

The vocabulary range is limited and minimally adequate for the task. The writer attempts some less common vocabulary items, such as 'affluent', 'pervasive', and 'plethora', but these are marred by noticeable spelling, word-form, and word-choice errors that cause some difficulty for the reader. Examples include 'phenomena' instead of 'phenomenon', 'cotemporary epoch', 'engedgers' instead of 'engenders', 'underprivilidge', 'enterprenuial', and 'aggluent'. These recurring lexical inaccuracies restrict the score to this band level.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The writer uses a limited range of structures, and attempts at complex sentence forms are frequently faulty. There are frequent grammatical errors that can cause difficulty for the reader, including problems with subject-verb agreement ('a growing number of individuals... and numerous are striving'), missing articles ('as whole', 'in society'), incorrect verb forms ('that actions not only tends low income individuals to survive'), and awkward prepositional use. Punctuation errors, such as sentence fragments starting with 'And i' and 'Moreover, facilitating underprivilidge individuals', also persist throughout the text.
