Some say that the most important thing about being rich is that one has the opportunity to help others. To what extent do you agree or disagree?
Student answer (Band 4.5)
Many people believe that the rich people have the opportunity to help others. I agree with this like being a rich person can easily help the needy peolpe and to reach the part of the Africa where the peolpe miserly spend their lives.
Being a rich is to help the other who are stuck in their lives whether it relates to his or her health or finance within your country or state. Forexample, having more money can easily help the poor of your society or finding a needy person is not a big deal in these days like there are so many young peolpe they are at that age for they have to be in school or college but becasue ot their financial condition of their house they are presurized to having or doing a job to support their family while there are also many peolpe dealing with their health conditions like some are disable and some dealing with earing issues and some facing their blury vision so rich peolpe have the oppporuntiy to help these people the step up in their lives.
In Africa, there is no just those problems which is mentioned above even some part of the Africa the people their even no access to the basics of life the no access to water and food to spend just 3 to 4 days even not just these are so many which can

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
You take a relevant position by saying, “I agree,” and give examples of how wealth could support people facing financial, educational, or health difficulties. The reference to communities in Africa also relates to helping others. However, the response is incomplete: the final paragraph ends mid-sentence (“there are so many which can”), so the argument is not brought to a conclusion, and your position is not developed across the whole essay. The examples are mostly listed rather than explained, and the response does not clearly examine whether helping others is the most important benefit of being rich. The response is also 15 words below the required minimum. Develop one or two examples with explanation and finish with a clear concluding statement.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
There is a basic attempt to organise the response: the first paragraph states your view, the next discusses help within a community, and the third turns to Africa. This gives the reader some sense of direction. However, progression is difficult to follow because the second paragraph combines many examples in one long sentence, moving from education to disability and vision without clear links. The final paragraph is unfinished, which leaves the discussion without a complete ending. Linking phrases such as “For example” are attempted, but connections between ideas are often unclear or repetitive. Use separate paragraphs for distinct points, develop each point in a logical order, and complete the final paragraph with a conclusion.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “the needy,” “financial condition,” “basics of life,” and “access to water and food.” These choices show that you can communicate the general subject of poverty and assistance. However, the range is basic and repetitive, with frequent spelling and word-choice problems that make parts of the response difficult to understand, such as “peolpe,” “miserly spend their lives,” and “ear ing issues” (intended as “hearing issues”). Some phrases are also unnatural, including “Being a rich” and “the step up in their lives.” Aim for accurate, natural collocations and check spelling carefully. More precise terms such as “people in need” and “financial hardship” would make your ideas clearer.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt some longer sentences and use basic structures to express reasons and examples. However, grammatical errors are frequent and sometimes make the meaning hard to follow. For instance, “Being a rich is to help the other” has an incorrect article and sentence structure, while “there are so many young people they are at that age” lacks a clear grammatical connection between clauses. Agreement and sentence construction are also problematic in “there is no just those problems” and “the people their even no access.” The long sentence beginning “For example” contains several ideas without reliable punctuation or clause control. Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then combine them using clear subordinate clauses and correct subject–verb agreement.
