Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

Your position is clear: you agree that wealth creates opportunities to help others, and you also argue that it can benefit wider sectors of society. The two body paragraphs provide relevant examples, including charitable support, rural hospitals, employment, and investment in schools. This addresses the main question, but the discussion is unevenly developed. The first paragraph explains how wealth can reduce poverty, while claims such as helping with “any climatic catastrophe” and improving “gross domestic rates” are not clearly explained or connected to the central idea. To strengthen the response, explain more precisely how these examples demonstrate that helping others is the most important benefit of being rich, and clarify whether you see it as more important than other advantages.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, two contrasting body paragraphs, and a conclusion. “On the one hand” and “On the other hand” make the shift between the main points easy to follow, and examples generally appear alongside the claims they support. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes mechanical, with repeated use of “Moreover,” “Furthermore,” and “Therefore.” Some links between ideas are also unclear: the point about being “frugal” during a climate disaster does not clearly follow from the discussion of economic and environmental benefits. The conclusion repeats the general position but does not bring the two strands together. Use clearer links that show cause and effect, and organise each paragraph around one fully explained central idea.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You attempt a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “affluent,” “alleviate,” “charity schemes,” and “employment,” which helps convey ideas about wealth and social support. There are also attempts to use less common expressions, but several are inaccurate or unnatural, such as “the range of richness,” “give a surge to level equality,” and “gross domestic rates.” These choices sometimes make the intended meaning difficult to identify. Spelling errors such as “prespective,” “infliation,” and “catastrophy” also reduce accuracy. Aim for precise, natural collocations rather than more elaborate wording: for example, use “reduce poverty,” “promote equality,” and “economic growth.” Proofreading spelling and checking phrases in context would make your vocabulary more effective.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You make some attempts at complex sentence forms, including the opening sentence beginning “While” and the conditional-style clause “in the case of any climatic catastrophe.” However, control of sentence structure is inconsistent, and several errors affect clarity. For example, “affluent one can facilitates” has problems with the subject and verb form, while “the rich folks can play their role … by the openning” shows difficulty forming a grammatical noun phrase. Articles and agreement are also unreliable, as in “a problem and address an issue between common folks” and “many folks died due to not establishment.” Capitalisation and spacing around punctuation need attention too. Practise accurate basic sentence patterns first, then build longer sentences with clear subjects, verbs, and clause connections.
