Some say that the most important thing about being rich is that one has the opportunity to help others. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Student answer (Band 5.5)

Some people thought rich peoples have opportunity to help other because they have money. In am disagree with this view because to help other you donot need money there are many other things that person provides to help others. The one is moral support and other is emotional support.

One of the most important reason is to provide moral support. There are different types of help people wanted from other . Some time people want only support that give them confidence to do work. Moral support is very important in today world. People earn their money by doing hard work they just need support from other people so they can work more hard. For example in Pakistan companies provided gifts to workers who perfome well in their duties. These gifts gave them to increased their confidence and provide them with moral support. Some time this only support lead them to sucess.

The other reason is emotional support . Its not important that only rich people will provide emotional support. It can be provided by any person the only thing required is good gesture. Person who suffered from great loss only required these type of dupport theydonot need money they only required family and friend suppoprt. For instance my friend mother died one week ago and in this situation they donot need money suppoert they need emotional support which i provided to him.

In conclusion, i am disagree with view because there are many ways to support othes without having money and these ways are emotional and moral support.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

Your position is clear: you disagree that helping others is the most important benefit of being rich, arguing that moral and emotional support can also help people. Both body paragraphs relate to this position, and the examples about workplace gifts and your friend’s bereavement make the discussion relevant. However, the response focuses mainly on ways anyone can help, rather than fully examining whether the opportunity to help others is the most important thing about being rich. The workplace example also needs a clearer link to wealth and to the question’s claim. Develop this comparison—for example, explain what financial resources enable that non-financial support cannot, then weigh its importance against other benefits of wealth—to address the task more fully.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a coherent overall arrangement: an introduction states your view, two body paragraphs present separate reasons, and a conclusion restates your position. Signposting such as “One of the most important reason” and “The other reason” helps readers follow the main points. Some connections, however, are mechanical or unclear. The shift from moral support to gifts in the workplace does not clearly explain how the gifts demonstrate support, and “Some time this only support” has an unclear reference. The personal example is relevant but would benefit from a sentence explaining how it supports your general point. Use clearer links between each claim, explanation and example, and vary the transitions so the progression feels more natural.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use a small set of relevant terms, including “moral support,” “emotional support,” “confidence” and “great loss,” which makes your main ideas understandable. However, vocabulary is limited and several word-choice, collocation and spelling errors reduce precision: “rich peoples,” “support from other people,” “hard work,” and “provided gifts to workers” are either inaccurate or awkward in context. Misspellings such as “sucess,” “perfome” and “suppoert” also distract the reader. Build a wider range of accurate expressions for discussing wealth and assistance, and check spelling carefully. More precise phrasing would help distinguish financial help from encouragement and comfort, rather than repeating “support” throughout.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more extended sentences, including the explanation beginning “People earn their money by doing hard work” and the example about your friend’s loss. The main meaning is generally recoverable, but some grammatical errors affect clarity and control. For example, “In am disagree” has an incorrect verb form, “One of the most important reason” has a number-agreement error, and “Person who suffered from great loss only required” lacks appropriate articles and has an awkward tense pattern. Sentence boundaries and punctuation also need attention, as in “there are many other things that person provides to help others. The one…” Practise accurate subject–verb agreement, articles and verb forms, and separate complete sentences with appropriate punctuation.
