Student answer (Band 5.5)

Some say that wealth is the most crucial thing to help others. I partly agree that because welath doesnot mean, it has the opportunity to help others. Some how it is right beacuse if you rich then you can help others people.

Firstly, it is important thing about being rich because if you do not have money and your miind want to help, but you cannot do that. So, wealth is vital to help someone. Rich person can help poor citizens in different way. They donate their money to charities and organisation. Moreover, they help needy people in education sector, finincial support and their medical health. For example, Elon musk is a successful person who always support and give donation to charities. Thus, rich person can help needy residents in various way and they can also support different organisation who helped poor people.

On the other hand, If you want to help other people you do not have to wealthy person because poor people can also help others in different ways. They can help by volunteer in program and any festival, and they support emotionally. Whether, anyone have feeling of helping then they can help in many ways, First of all, helping nature is more important than wealth. In instance, one of my friend belongs from middle class family, so he can not help other through money, but he always help others, such as crossing them road who are blind, and support old people. Hence, helping nature is crucial to help others.

In conclusion, I believe that both are important, rich can helped poor people in different way.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You address both sides of the question and state a qualified position: wealth can enable practical support, but it is not essential because people can help in other ways. The examples of donations and your middle-class friend make the response relevant, and the conclusion restates the balanced view. However, the opening is unclear about what you partly agree with, and the discussion sometimes shifts from whether helping others is the most important aspect of being rich to whether wealth is necessary for helping. The Elon Musk example is asserted rather than explained, while the non-financial forms of help are more concrete. Clarify the exact claim in your introduction and develop each main point with a fuller explanation of how it answers the question.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, two contrasting body paragraphs signposted by “Firstly” and “On the other hand,” and a conclusion. This makes the main line of argument easy to follow. Some links, however, are mechanical or do not express the intended relationship clearly. For example, “Whether, anyone have feeling of helping” does not connect smoothly to the preceding point, and “Thus” repeats the conclusion of the first body paragraph rather than advancing it. The final paragraph is also very brief and does not bring together the two sides in much detail. Use linking phrases only where their meaning fits, and make the progression within each paragraph clearer by connecting each example explicitly to its main claim.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use a basic range of topic vocabulary, including “wealth,” “charities,” “financial support,” “volunteer,” and “emotionally,” which allows you to communicate the central ideas. There are also attempts at more specific expressions, such as “education sector” and “medical health.” However, word choice and collocation are often inaccurate or repetitive: “help others people,” “helping nature,” and “rich person” do not sound natural in context. Spelling errors such as “welath,” “beacuse,” and “finincial” also reduce accuracy. Build a wider set of natural phrases for discussing charitable giving and personal assistance, and check spelling and word forms carefully. More precise vocabulary would make your argument clearer and less repetitive.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including conditional clauses such as “if you do not have money” and a contrast introduced by “On the other hand.” The overall meaning is usually recoverable, but errors in sentence structure and basic grammar occur across the response. For example, “I partly agree that because” is not a complete grammatical construction, and “if you rich then you can help” is missing a verb. There are also problems with agreement and verb forms in “one of my friend” and “rich can helped poor people.” Work on forming complete clauses, using the correct verb form after subjects, and checking articles and plurals. Greater control of these patterns would make your ideas easier to read.
