Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 3.0

Your position is clear: “I completely agree” directly answers the question, and you begin to explain that wealthy people can help others. However, the response addresses the task only minimally. The reason that helping others benefits society is started but left unfinished (“because helping others in a society b”), and there are no developed examples or further explanation of why helping others is the most important aspect of being rich. The response also falls substantially short of the required 250 words, leaving the argument incomplete. To strengthen your response, explain specific ways wealth can support others, illustrate these with an example, and develop your reasoning across a complete essay.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0

There is a basic attempt to organise the response: an opening paragraph states your view, and “firstly” signals the start of a supporting point. This gives the reader a simple indication of direction. However, the second paragraph ends abruptly, so the idea is not connected to an explanation or conclusion, and the essay has no overall progression beyond the initial claim. The connector “because” also begins a sentence fragment rather than a complete supporting sentence. Develop each paragraph around one complete point, use clear links between claims and examples, and add a concluding paragraph that restates your position. This would make the organisation more coherent and the relationships between ideas easier to follow.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “wealthy,” “ability to help,” and “generousity,” showing that you can express the central idea. Some choices, however, are inaccurate or unnatural, and spelling errors make the wording less clear: “indviduals,” “extreamly,” “assest,” and “peopel.” The phrase “the extreamly essential thing” is also awkward, while “feelings of wellbeing for others” does not express your intended point naturally. At this level, the vocabulary is sufficient to communicate the basic position, but accuracy and natural collocation are inconsistent. Check spelling carefully and learn topic phrases such as “financial resources,” “support those in need,” and “a sense of social responsibility.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

The response contains a few basic sentence patterns, including “I completely agree with this view,” and the main position is understandable. However, the range is very limited, and errors in sentence boundaries and structure are evident. For example, “because helping others in a society b” is an incomplete clause, while “firstly” is followed by a full stop and a lower-case “because,” creating a faulty connection between ideas. The opening sentence also attempts a more complex structure but is difficult to follow. Practise writing complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, and use conjunctions to connect clauses correctly. Vary simple sentences with controlled complex forms, then proofread punctuation and capitalisation.
