Some say that the most important thing about being rich is that one has the opportunity to help others. To what extent do you agree or disagree?
Student answer (Band 5.0)
The most blessing thing for human life is being rich, richness gives a lot of opportunities to people they will have the chance to help others in many things beacuse with money the person can do wahtever he wants but unfortunately there are a community in each country they are totally disagree about aid others.
In my opinion the most interesting thing about rich humans is there nice manners espically when they help others even though the one they help is a member of their family , this action gives them a good picture in others eyes. I have a member in my family he is so rich each month he takes 20 percent from his sallary just to help children with cancer he awlays bought to them everything they need such as clother , toys , food . this action gives to him a value in the society everyone rescpect him , his kindness opens a lot of doors to him as well as his bussiness is being so successful .
in the other side people who are disagree about the idea that the most important thing about being rich is the opportunity to help others they de not see things as they must they only think about materials and keeping money for themselves this thing let them being selfich they dont think if others need just food to full their stomach this kind of people will not success in their lives beacuse they are very arrogant and they will not loved by anyone.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You take a position that helping others is an important benefit of wealth, and the example of your relative supporting children with cancer is relevant and gives the response a concrete focus. However, the task asks how far you agree with the claim, and your position is not consistently explained: the opening says wealth is the “most blessing thing,” while the body focuses on the good reputation and success that helping brings. The opposing view is mentioned, but its reasons are asserted rather than explored. The response also contains 246 words, so it is four words below the 250-word minimum; the nine words copied from the prompt are excluded. Develop your reasons and make your degree of agreement explicit throughout.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a basic overall structure: an introduction, a paragraph supporting charitable behaviour, and a final paragraph presenting an opposing view. The family example helps connect the main idea to a specific case. However, progression between ideas is limited, and some links are unclear or mechanical. For example, “In the other side” introduces the contrast awkwardly, while the final paragraph moves from selfishness to lack of success and being disliked without clearly explaining the connections. The long opening sentence also joins several ideas without clear boundaries. Use clearer paragraph development, link each example directly to the point it supports, and choose accurate transitions such as “On the other hand.”
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant vocabulary, including “opportunities,” “society,” “kindness,” and “successful,” and the example shows an attempt to discuss charitable giving in specific terms. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations make the meaning less natural, such as “the most blessing thing,” “a good picture in others eyes,” and “keeping money for themselves.” Spelling errors, including “beacuse,” “espically,” and “selfich,” are also noticeable and reduce accuracy. Aim for more precise expressions and check spelling carefully. For instance, describe wealth as a “valuable opportunity to support others” and say that generosity can “earn respect in the community.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt to combine ideas in longer sentences, for example when explaining how your relative’s donations affect his reputation and business. However, complex sentences are often faulty, and frequent errors can make the reader work to follow the meaning. The opening joins independent clauses with commas, and phrases such as “there are a community” and “they will not loved” show problems with agreement and verb forms. Articles and sentence boundaries also need attention; for example, “the one they help is a member of their family” is awkwardly structured, and several sentences begin with lowercase letters. Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then add subordinate clauses and check each sentence for a clear subject and verb.
