Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0

Your position is clear: “I strongly agree,” and you give relevant reasons, including charitable donations, education support and job creation. However, the response addresses the task only partially because these points are mostly stated rather than explained. For example, the second body paragraph ends after saying wealthy people “can create job opportunities,” without showing how this helps others or giving an example. The first paragraph offers a scholarship example, but its effects are not developed. The response is also below the required 250 words, which limits how fully you can explain your ideas. Develop each reason with an explanation and a specific example, and briefly clarify why helping others is the most important benefit of wealth.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction and two body paragraphs, and sequencing phrases such as “Firstly” and “secondly” help signal the order of your points. The ideas are generally relevant and the first body paragraph moves from donations to education. However, progression is limited: the second paragraph contains only one undeveloped statement, and the first paragraph’s links between charity, basic needs and education are not always clear. Some transitions, such as “Moreover,” introduce a related point but do not explain its connection to the previous sentence. Build each paragraph around one main idea, then use clear explanation and an example to develop it. A conclusion would also give the response a more complete overall progression.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some task-relevant vocabulary, including “financial assistance,” “basic necessities,” “charities,” “scholarships” and “unemployed people.” These terms help communicate the main ideas, but the range is limited and several noticeable spelling, word-form and collocation errors make parts difficult to read. Examples include “disadvantages people,” “childern,” “peoplcan” and “to lives they life.” The phrase “This charities” is also not a natural expression. Proofread carefully and learn common combinations such as “donate to charities,” “disadvantaged families” and “improve living conditions.” Using a wider range of accurate phrases for employment, education and poverty would make your argument clearer and more precise.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple statements and a longer sentence with a reason, as in “I strongly agree with this views because rich people can provide financial assistance…” This shows an effort to connect ideas, but the range remains limited, and frequent errors affect accuracy. For example, “Some people believe having wealth gives people gives opportunity” repeats the verb and omits an article, while “rich people can provide” is followed by the incorrect plural “this views.” In “allowing them their continue their education,” the verb pattern is faulty. Sentence boundaries and capitalization are also inconsistent, as in “food. This donation” and the lowercase “this” after a full stop. Practise accurate subject–verb patterns, articles, plurals and punctuation before adding more complex structures.
