The chart below shows the results of a survey about people’s coffee and tea buying and drinking habits in five Australian cities.
Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Student answer (Band 6.5)
The bar chart illustrates that outcome of survey conducted about individual's coffee and tea purchasing and consumption habits across five Australian cities. Overall, the cities shows the similar trends consumption in five cities. Visiting café is most common across all the cities. Buying Fresh coffee is the least popular choice among people.
In detail, buying coffee by going to cafe was more popular activity by people in five cities For example Melbourne recorded the highest percentage at 64% almost of consuming drinks from cafee followed by Hobart 63% and then Sydney61%. by contrast and Brisbane was 55%. Adelaide was the least common with 49% only. In general visiting cafes for coffee and tea was the most favourite activity among five cities.
Regarding the purchase of coffee, buying instant coffee had the higher percentage while buying fresh coffee is less popular. Hobart reported the highest percentage of consumption instant coffee followed by Brisbane. Then Adelaide was on third number and Melbourne was at 48% and Sydney was the least common. In contrast fresh coffee consumption was the the lowest percentage under 45% overall.
